Hey, I don’t know if my issue has much to do with the video, but I do need some help. I recently got BeamNG (1-3 days ago of the writing of this comment), and I downloaded a simple reskin mod. It says “Slims are located in the vehicle selector under Cargo Box -> Cargo Box Livery.” I don’t know if I need to go into the files or something, and I’m overall just confused. If you could help me out, that’d be great!
No, I think that's referring to the vehicle configuration drop down menu.

I'd love to understand how to make a skin for the cargo box of the gavril t-series, but it seems impossible to me.

I'd like to change the H-Series H45 Ambulance from Fire Rescue to just private EMS but I cannot figure out what folder the skin is in. I've followed you up to 2:37 but don't see which folder would hold H-Series or Gavrill etc. That's for the videos, very helpful.

Found it! in "van" folder. Now I will try to change it from a Fire & Rescue to just an Ambulance. Hopefully.
I'm having a problem:
When you open a random skin, the car's outline is clearly visible, but when I open, for example, the grand marshal police, the whole thing is black, only the "decals" and the white roof show up
Edit: only some skins have this problem. Why?
Not really sure, I never hear of that issue before.. vehicle skins are done in layers, you may be editing a bottom layer...maybe.
