The only times he was really wrong were with Derek, who was never a bad guy even if he seemed shady at first, with Kira, because while Kira was something supernatural, she wasn't bad, and with Liam, who wasn't anything supernatural. He was also suspicious of Deaton and Cora, but never actually said outright that they were evil. He has been right about Peter, about Lydia not being the kanima, (though at the time, it was probably mostly because of his crush on her, something he learned to not let cloud his judgment by season three when he had her on the list for people who could be the Darach), that Matt was the real person behind being the kanima, he was right about himself being the nogitsune, and about Theo being evil. Stiles isn't always right, but he often is, and too many people have betrayed him and his friends for him to be so trusting, especially when Scott seems to blindly trust everyone. Scott does more than just give people the benefit of the doubt; he trusts them without even doing a background check. Since Scott is too trusting, at this point, Stiles can't allow himself to be trusting at all, because if he does, they're all going to get burned.

Peter says it the first season, Stiles is always figuring things out (and Lydia), so I never understood how they don’t listen to him more often... at the very least don’t second guess his observations. When the Sciles breakup scene came along, I was even madder at Scott cause he wouldn’t listen/believe, yet again. How’s this a good bromance? Yet, this scene right here when Scott takes Stiles’ pain away got be right by the heartstrings. It is endearingly sweet! (But I still blame Scott)

Think about how those characters turned out when Scott offered them his trust. I’m not saying he was wrong about Matt, Peter, and Theo but sometimes Stiles’s doesn’t have the best instincts
I was thinking about this recently after reading arguments in the comment section of an old fanfic between pro-Stiles and pro-Scott people. Basically, I think in this season they both make mistakes (actually in every season cause hello, only human and teenagers) but I think this season everything got blown out of proportion between because of the Dread Doctors - think about it, everyone was acting out of character in this season! And we see explicitly what the dread doctors do to Kira in a flashback to the night they met at the school to do their initials in the library and how this affected her control, her fox etc. So who's to say that they didn't do something similar to all of them? Amplify something about their personas to create these seeds of chaos - they wanted his pack torn apart right? At least, Theo did. I mean, Lydia and Malia both know Stiles is injured but neither do anything about it (Malia probs gets written off as the whole wild coyote thing but really? She can smell blood and doesn't push him on why he's bleeding?) Liam, I know he's got IED but the way he goes off on Scott and tries to kill him, that can't just be the supermoon, I think that rage has had some help. Scott being SO trusting of Theo to the point of it being detrimental to the rest of his pack, even when he's been shown to be trusting before is like idk a bit too much even for Scott? And Stiles hiding everything that happened with Donovan - I think some of this is his natural anxiety and his fear of what his dad and Scott will think about him, but he knows the law, he knows what he did was self defence - even when he's presented with the chance to tell Scott what happened, their inability to communicate properly shows. And they say it later when they make up - if they'd just talked another minute or two or been clearer, but Theo and the doctors didn't want them to. That's my take on the whole thing!

I can imagine how awkward it’d be for Liam to witness this. Like Scott is his alpha and basically the one person that he can always rely on but Stiles is the other pack member that tends to go above and beyond to help everyone else in the pack even if it means being an annoyance to everyone when he mother hens. I’m glad that during their talk he didn’t speak up bc then it’d look weird to add another dialogue in this scene, but to have the camera pan to him to see his expressions especially when he flinched after hearing Stiles punch the car was amazing. I miss him being so innocent.
This scene is so important it shows how traumatic it really was for Stiles to go through the nogitsune thing, how aware he is that everything is never going to be fine and how he really needed them (his friends) to trust him again, because he went through an experience that he couldn't even trust himself and now he is uncomfortable with being himseIf that we all knew and came to love (confident with borderline usually justified trust issues and impulsive) but to everyone else after the nogitsune it seemed paranoid because of all the ptsd and the counter effect of everyone pointing it out, he felt like he need to justify and somehow doubt himself because he didn't trust himself either which is even more frustrating when everyone else doesn't trust you, like you already fucking know, okay!! And only now did i realized how fucking big it was for Stiles to let Scott take his pain, I initially thought the song choice made the scene too intimate for friendship, BUT when I think about how the nogitsune used this same trick on Scott to make him absorb pain so he can feed on him later!! And Stiles letting himself to do something somehow similar to that (although it's just Scott taking away his pain) you can see the obvious hesitation, the great deal of vulnerability for Stiles to let himself this little pain - compared to the pain he thought he deserved (all the mental and emotional pain)- taken care of by anyone especially Scott (for the pre mentioned reasons) and maybe Stiles even hated himself a little for being relieved from the pain. It's fucking huge!!! this scene is my favorite!!

And now Stiles is right about Theo, who is working with the Dread Doctors and attempts to kill Scott later this season. Plus, Stiles is fair about his suspicion of people seeing as he had a crush on Lydia in 3a and still considered her to be a suspect as she had been mind controlled before and he suspected himself of being the nogitsune in 3b and was, once again, right. The thing is, Scott seems to trust everyone except Stiles. He fails to trust Stiles's judgement even though Stiles is usually right about these sorts of things and he readily believes Theo about Stiles killing Donovan in coldblood and won't even ask Stiles about what really happened. Scott is willing to trust everyone and believe the best in everyone except his own best friend, and honestly, Derek, too. The way Scott treated Derek, especially in the earlier seasons, was so abominable that it's a miracle the two ever became friends. I don't know about anyone else, but I certainly wouldn't have forgiven someone who said that the people who murdered my family must have had a reason, framed me for murder, forced me to bite my enemy, etc.

He wasn’t right about Peter in season 1, Jennifer or Meredith! They weren’t even on the suspect list! Also he had doubts about Derek, Deaton, Cora, Kira and Liam. Right now the number of times he was wrong outweigh the times he was right.

Scott just sees the light in everyone. He saw the light in Derek and Theo and in the end, Theo turned out to be one of the good guys. He saw the light in Kira and she helped assist them on numerous occasions. While stiles was right about a lot of his distrusts and a lot of the people Scott got close too, Scott just wants to trust people and believe that everyone is ok and that those who aren’t, can be helped and they can be good. Stiles sees the darkness and he tries to prepare Scott I case of anything bad happening and Scott’s emotions backfiring. They both just look out for each other, even when they aren’t particularly fond of what’s happening with the other one and even when they don’t trust each other. That’s what makes them the perfect, love ale duo that we all wish we had gotten more of.

Great moment. Weird song choice but whatever. Usually brothers don't get too much screen time together, usually reuniting only in the climax but when they're together it's always great. They don't have to say it directly for you to feel the deep bond they share.
I see its the fact scott is always trying to save everyone but stilles is the one constantly protecting scott its the "you cant save everyone my friend" argument.
It shows how Stiles has really been affected by Scott's choices and the supernatural in general. He's human but thrown into a very dangerous world and in some ways, he gets hurt the most

Theo's story couldn't be true because the twins told them that they first killed everyone in their pack and then went after their Alpha. But Theo told them that he heard the Alpha was dead from one of the pack members. Always seemed strange to me they never contacted Ethan about that. Especially Stiles who never trusted Theo.

Honesty, as the show went on Scott became an ass of a fighter, trusting everyone, and always needing a pack member to help him beat someone up. And I get why the writers did that, to show each pack members abilities so they don’t look useless but like by doing that you turned a badass, true alpha, Scott into pretty much a regular human and it’s frustrating. After season 4, things went down hill for Scott or after Malia got there (no hate to Malia but she always had to save his furry ass) it’s just very frustrating, he used to be so good I feel like the writers gave him too much heart but then again that’s what Scott is based off a very sympathetic, emotional character now turned werewolf but is still VERY in tune with his human side. Plus, Stiles is fair about his suspicion of people seeing as he had a crush on Lydia in 3a and still considered her to be a suspect as she had been mind controlled before and he suspected himself of being the nogitsune in 3b and was, once again, right. The thing is, Scott seems to trust everyone except Stiles. He fails to trust Stiles's judgement even though Stiles is usually right about these sorts of things and he readily believes Theo about Stiles killing Donovan in coldblood and won't even ask Stiles about what really happened. Scott is willing to trust everyone and believe the best in everyone except his own best friend, and honestly, Derek, too. The way Scott treated Derek, especially in the earlier seasons, was so abominable that it's a miracle the two ever became friends. I don't know about anyone else, but I certainly wouldn't have forgiven someone who said that the people who murdered my family must have had a reason, framed me for murder, forced me to bite my enemy, etc.

He wasn’t right about Peter in season 1, Jennifer or Meredith! They weren’t even on the suspect list! Also he had doubts about Derek, Deaton, Cora, Kira and Liam. Right now the number of times he was wrong outweigh the times he was right.

Scott just sees the light in everyone. He saw the light in Derek and Theo and in the end, Theo turned out to be one of the good guys. He saw the light in Kira and she helped assist them on numerous occasions. While stiles was right about a lot of his distrusts and a lot of the people Scott got close too, Scott just wants to trust people and believe that everyone is ok and that those who aren’t, can be helped and they can be good. Stiles sees the darkness and he tries to prepare Scott I case of anything bad happening and Scott’s emotions backfiring. They both just look out for each other, even when they aren’t particularly fond of what’s happening with the other one and even when they don’t trust each other. That’s what makes them the perfect, love ale duo that we all wish we had gotten more of.

Theo's story couldn't be true because the twins told them that they first killed everyone in their pack and then went after their Alpha. But Theo told them that he heard the Alpha was dead from one of the pack members. Always seemed strange to me they never contacted Ethan about that. Especially Stiles who never trusted Theo.

Honesty, as the show went on Scott became an ass of a fighter, trusting everyone, and always needing a pack member to help him beat someone up. And I get why the writers did that, to show each pack members abilities so they don’t look useless but like by doing that you turned a badass, true alpha, Scott into pretty much a regular human and it’s frustrating. After season 4, things went down hill for Scott or after Malia got there (no hate to Malia but she always had to save his furry ass) it’s just very frustrating, he used to be so good I feel like the writers gave him too much heart but then again that’s what Scott is based off a very sympathetic, emotional character now turned werewolf but is still VERY in tune with his human side. Sorry for the rant, lmao 😂
