Front woman Emma Boster says - “Watch My Promise Die” is written about the overwhelming anxiety of pre-destined failure. When you commit everything you have to one area of your life, the idea of it falling apart looms with such heavy importance. The song is written from the perspective of toying with that fear, allowing your weakness to overcome before you lose everything in a means outside of your control.
We’re all destined to fail. That’s why we love metalcore.

This is crack to my ears. I like having more members on vocals, and I think the singing chorus was done well. Saying the name of the song then a breakdown. You really can't go wrong with this.

Just saw them live. They don’t actually play their instruments live. Besides the drums and maybe the bass. They definitely were “show playing.” This is happening way too often now. If your band can’t come together and play live, guess what? You’re not a band, just actors. Milly Vanilli would be proud.

This isn’t hardcore. Hardcore started in the mid to late 70’s with bands like the germs or black flag. This is just noise and screaming

@@eddieplaysgh unfortunately so man. Messaged their guitarist a while ago and he confirmed. Vocalist also said what happened with them was for the best but its all good as we now have Psycho-Frame.

I remember when I first heard of these guys & listened to their 3 songs from their split ep with Serration, & their self titled EP, I didnt like them (Ive since gone back & re-listened & love them now lol). I couldn’t get into Emmas vocals right away BUT then I got to see them live on the Private Room 2.0 tour in 2019 & they were incredible, & then I listened to their debut album & everything changed, I fell in love. & now these new songs sound even more incredible. Invent Animates album Heavener has been my album of the year since it dropped but Symptoms of Survival may be the album to take its spot 🔥
