"Every parasite needs a host" is probably my favorite bar. He's referring to the grammy's, literal parasites, and its a reference to the movie "Venom(2018)", he did the soundtrack for that.

It makes me sad that people made him dislike revival. It was amazing like everything he's ever done. But it's like listening to classical music and not understanding why it's amazing, yet it is.
it had some good songs on it but overall it was a failure that didn't live up to his high standards. If you liked it, that's cool. But most people were disappointed, and he stepped up his game as a result.

The shadow is a manifestation of the toxic reveiws and comments he recieved about Revival via social media and the internet. Thats why the shadow crawls out of the phone. It wants to imitate him, so it chases him. This can be correlated to the Lucky You video with Joyner where the mindless zombies imitate them the entire time. At the end, the shadow AKA cancerous reviews (or a critic) jumps at him, bringing him to one knee, not both. Thats important if you know anything about Em. It didnt make him fall (double meaning since its the name of song) over either, in fact, he gets up afterwards with a newfound energy and jumps out of the window and lands on the ground. His eyes are consumed with the toxic comments and reviews and now HE is the critic. He says hes going to tell everyone what he thinks about them now in the beginning of the song. Cheers guys!! :D

That part at the end where Em "accepted" shady. It can also mean that Em took some time for himself to do some soul searching, hence why his walking around everywhere. In conclusion, he realises that he can't survive without shady haunting him so he takes in shady but remaining himself at the same time, which means he controls shady now.

If I can throw in my 2 cents, the line is "YOU swear to God I forgot I'm the guy who made Not Afraid" an additional meaning to the word play is Em simply saying today's rappers/critics have been quick to bash him and say hes washed up thinking he won't respond because he lost it. He's telling these clowns he's not afraid of them on the mic and has never been afraid of them or anyone else.
