The lore behind Artorias and Sif is so sad, tragic, and deep. I honestly think it hits harder when you finish the DLC first than go and kill Sif.

One of my favorite Boss fights period. It took me a whole afternoon to beat the pooch :( The only things that cost me even more time than this fight were the Anor Londo archers and the Gwyn fight.
Watching this makes me feel almost as if I cheated because I didn't really explore Darkroot Garden until after Anor Londo, and I was taking out big ol' chunks of the poor doggo's health :(
