Gems in order :
00:00 - Red Gem
03:15 - Purple Gem
04:53 - Blue Gem
06:40 - Green Gem
08:32 - Yellow Gem
All colored gems of Crash Bandicoot 3 for PS1 - Hry
I so Love this game! However I would change a few things if I could to make it perfect:
- Add a Death Route with the Red Gem in Bone Yard
- Add a Red Gem Path in Gee Wiz with a Clear Gem.
-Replace the Red Gem in Deep Trouble, with a clear gem.
- Replace the Purple Gem Door from Tomb Time for a Death route instead.
- Place the Purple Gem in a Death Route in Double Header.
- Add a Purple Gem Path (instead of death route) in High Times instead, leading to a Clear gem.
- Death Route in Gone Tomorrow (instead of gem path), leading us to the Green Gem.
- Add a Green Gem Path in Toad Village (leading us to a Clear Gem). -The Death Route from Flaming Passion would have a Clear Gem in the end instead of a Greem Gem.
-Would scrap "Hot Coco" away, give it an extra Pura level instead.
On the PS version of the game (not the newer ones) you can actually slide + double jump + super spin from the platform to the yellow gem 9:01
Nice. I always thought that the yellow gem had a hidden path but you had to get relics to get it. Great Video. ^_^
+Pikaboy94 Yeah I always wondered how to getit until I simply double jumped and hovered my way over to grab it. Took like 2 tries and got it.

+Pikaboy94 You can actually get it trough a glitch if you get on top of the roof on the left from where you can see the gem then you have to jump and spin and you can get it, i tried it out after watching a video about it and it actually worked
you prolly dont care but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all of the latest series on instaflixxer. Been binge watching with my gf during the lockdown xD

Crash 2 gems were way more creative to obtain
Yeah like the Blue gem having to avoid any crates. 2 was better though 3 is great too.
Some people don't notice that every colored gems are used in the Spyro series... Yes I know that Crash & Spyro developers teamed up but observe the gems from Crash & Spyro;
Green Gem = 2
Red Gem = 1
Blue Gem = 5
Gold/Yellow Gem = 10
Purple/Violet = 25

Dude I feel like the game runs like crap at times from all the added effects at least on the og Xbox one I noticed when fighting tiny the screen shake effect makes the frames drop

You know, that Future and Prehistoric levels used to have Death Routes. But they had to abuse those Arabian levels man.

I never liked how three of the five colored gems are on the same themed levels.
Totally agree with you, I'd change then in this way if I could:

But, how do you activate the gem platforms?
Don't die once during that run of the level
You have to get the corresponding gem color of whatever the outline color is. Let's say it's a yellow outline, you need to get the yellow gem and then go back to the level where that outline was and it will now be a usable platform. The only platforms that you need not to die to get to are the Skull Route ones, which can be used to either get the rest of the boxes or sometimes even get you other gems.

sadly my disk was scratched and it would pause during the cut scene after I beat cortex so I could never use the run feature

How do you unlock that platform in flaming passion?
You have to get to the platform with no death. If you die once, you have to leave to the warp room and back to the level.
What exactly do you do for having a purple Gem place ?
Win the zone, defeat N.Tropy, enter to the zone again, and the platform will appear
No dont die once in the level on your way there or in bonus room

shor bore you need to collect relics to get to it, in the secret warp room too
If you collect 10 relics, you will get access to level 27, that's the secret zone.

Open the secret warproom which opens in the middle when you get 5 relics. Then access level 27 by collecting 5 more relics.
The relics to get the yellow gem are of gold or platinum?
just blue, take the carrier in the middle of the floor in the level select menu and it will bring you to levels 25-30
Angel Tx4 you shoulf have atleast 10 time relics, whether it is the regular, gold or platinum one to open level 27 which is the hard path for hang em high to obtain the yelow gem

i have 10 relics, 6 gold and 4 sapphire but i cant get the yellow gem
You need to access the level from the secret warp room.
+Gustavo its hard for me to get 10 relics, & unlocking the running super power is too hard for me to get. No aku aku when beating Dr. N cortex, its a pain in the ass.
if you cant even beat the boss, dont even think about getting all the gems or 105%

Almost only death routes... and one case where getting white gem means getting red gem. Too bad this game was not original like crash 2 to get colored gems

+Jeffrey Rutten You need relics to unlock levels 26 to 30. Level 27 (which is Hang 'em High's second entrance) requires 10 relics. When you have them you can get on the platform in the middle of the warp room and go down a level to enter those levels.
