    Good video! Thanks! I'm landing my first flaka's these days, but this tips will help me to land them more consistent. Can you maybe do a shaka tutorial next?

    Great tutorial dude! Can you do one on improving Spocks so they're good enough to try the double/spock culo?

      @lennartneubauer1807  Před rokem +1

      thanks man! ill do that later in the tutorials, till the I recommend to focus on two things: focus on speeding up your hands on the first Spock while grabbing the other side of the boom and try to pop the board as low as possible over the water, that will give you enough spin for an extra Spock or culo✌🏼

    Very good video. I tried quite a few in 2008 and had too many virtually ankle snapping experiences. I've not tried since. Maybe I should try again. I still cannot vulcan. Such "easy" moves, but not that easy in your 40's 🤣

    Could you make another “how to” about semi switch kono? I believe it is one of the first power moves which we all try.
    Good luck in upcoming competitions :) 👊

    Thank you for putting this together Lennart your explanation very helpful to understand the trick better and see it as being achievable! Any adjustments if the conditions are choppy water and current?

      I would recommend to hit the back of the chop to get hight, the take of angle should change to much.

    Lennart, you are a great sailor, but your Flaka explanation is a bit off. You learned too young, didn't have to think about what you were doing. :)
    1. There is no "don't wait too long to jump after you finish the carve". You are actually supposed to finish the carve WITH the jump! The point of the carve is getting yourself over the board, while still keeping good power in the sail. If you flatten the board and stop carving, you will have to either dump the power (sheet out) or lean away from the sail to keep control. Both will result in poor flakas, if you manage one at all. The point is to jump "off the rail" - as you carve. That's what you actually do in the video - you only flatten the board as you are taking off.
    2. There is no chop-hop in the Flaka, the jump is quite different than that of a Spock or a Speed loop. You don't push down with the back foot to initiate the jump! You are already bending your knees as you carve (see above). All you do is just jump with both legs out of your crouch, to follow the sail. Doing a chop-hop will prevent your body from going forward enough and it will be just a mess.
    3. You show hand position pretty far back down the boom. But watch your own video (e.g., czcams.com/video/y6FGArhi6L8/video.html) - you don't do that in your Flaka, your hands are much closer to the normal sailing position. Maybe you'd have this type of extreme hand grip for a Pasko, but a normal Flaka doesn't need it, maybe slide back hand a tiny bit, like half a fist.
