  • Hello CZcamsrs! A special hello to my fellow PRELOADERS! For those of you that aren't PRELOADERS yet, hit that subscribe button and become one. In this video I review the Condor "Pit- Stop / Trailer-Stop"" wheel chock and the Trailer Adaptor Kit for the Pit-Stop.
You may be asking yourself, who are PRELOADERS?
    PRELOADERS:
Subscribers to this channel who are dedicated to being proficient in slow speed motorcycle operation.
    What does PRELOAD mean?
    PRELOAD:
Engaging the throttle to raise the RPM’s (revolutions per minute) above idle and holding the throttle there, with the clutch pulled in (no power to the rear wheel, “in reserve” “PRELOADED”). This process will make power to the rear wheel available to the rider immediately when the clutch is opened up. There’s no need for the rider to be concerned with twisting the throttle for power because it’s already PRELOADED.

Great video sir. I've owned one of these for quite a few years now and love it. Use it for washing, waxing, etc. as it's so much easier to get to all parts of the bike when it's not leaning to one side. Thanks again for the well done vid.... Larry P.

I just tripped over the Condor part of the title and after using one for the last 15 years I started watching the video. Without knowing anything about you I immediately noticed your tactical stance and professional demeanor. It said LEO loud and clear. Your presentation gave all the best points of the Condor. I have one in my utility trailer plus I have a Wheeldock that I use for my Victory Vision in my toy hauler camper and on my garage lift at home. Both are equally great but I find the WheelDock is easier to move the bike in and out of the chock because it doesn’t require yanking the bike and teetering the front wheel in and out of the chock. If you ever attend any Blue Knight functions maybe we will meet someday. Ride With Pride sir.

Great video., a friend and I travel together with our street glides in a 17' trailer and we both own condor wheel chocks for the last 13 years - Condor was the best thing ever especially when you see someone with their motorcycle leaning sideways on the back of their pickup truck. THAT won't happen with a condor!
Just started watching your videos and love them and waiting for the weather to cooperate so I can start learning your technics here in Minnesota.

Wonderful review Robert! I recently purchased an '87 Goldwing Aspencade in like new condition. It would have been great to have this chock to transport it home for sure. I managed to locate one for the trip home, but it wasn't easy releasing the bike out of it when I prepared to unload. The floor adapter is really cool too. Once I purchase my trailer I will definitely be installing this chock. Peace brother, and stay safe out there!

My husband just finished installing the second Condor wheel chock two weeks ago. We went with the E-track system so the clips for the tie downs can be moved or adjusted. Before mounting them in our trailer we used them when cleaning the bikes. I'm short so getting it out of the chocks is a struggle so my husband gives me a little push from the front of the bike. The video was about the chocks but, a quick mention about "Tow mode" on bikes might be helpful for those who don't know what that is/how to engage it/or know if their bike even has that capability. love the videos BTW!

I've owned two condor pit stops since 2005. Great investment for the garage or trailer. You should look into adding E-Tracks and anchors to your trailer flooring. Sold at Harbor Freight in Savannah. I saw your trailer setup. The passenger side bike would give better side door access if it were located further aft, and the bike on the driver side further forward. Keep those videos coming!!

I have a Condor that I use free standing in my garage, I love it. It can be a little tough pulling it out of the chock, but once you get the hang of it your golden. I also like that it's universal, there is another chock at this price point (won't mention the name) that has a great system that uses a lever to lock the bike in. This system makes it very very easy to roll the bike in and out. The downside is they are bike specific.

The WheelDock chock is another good option and it admittedly does a better job of securing the front wheel/tire. However, with that one you have to purchase one sized for the specific width of your front tire. If you haul different bikes with different sized width tires, you would need to purchase multiple WheelDocks to accommodate those different widths.

My Dad returned from The Korean War only to run into to Red Line surrounding Levittown. I joined the Submarine Force under Reagan and my retirement certificate was signed by Obama. I got a letter from the NYPD telling me they saved my seat in accordance with a State Law, because my test results came in while at Bootcamp. 🦅 of a 🪶 Brah. Though I seriously considered the force out of desperation, when I had the luxury of options I was able to cater to my childhood experiences in making my decision to decline their offer. I have owned a condor for about 7 years. I find it extremely difficult to get the bike out of the Chock. I usually need a second person to push the bike backwards while I'm sitting on the bike trying to get the bike to roll backwards out of the the chock, or If no help is available I use a ratchet strap attached solidly to the frame as a come a long. I slowly apply backwards pressure using the ratchet strap until the bike begins to move the rocker chock backwards. Then it get touchy because the bike will roll right it out of the chock if your trailer is on a backwards angle. It may roll right down the ramp depending on how close to the rear of the trailer it is.
There 2 important things to remember when using the ratchet strap method, 1 make sure to put the kick stand down, 2 as the bike comes backwards and tips the chock rearward stop ratcheting it back before the chock comes close to its balancing point. Keeping the bike balanced int he chock take hold of the bars and pull it the rest of the way out of the chock stopping the backwards motion using the hand brake. Then go inside and change your draws if your wear'em if not well......... I aint no big guy like Officer Robert so I guess that may be part of the problem but so what. If you put your bike in the chock by yourself, you should be able to get it out by yourself. As to the condor tie down method of 2 straps that aint so good either as I have found the straps have come loose multiple times leaving the bike leaning left or right.
Officer Robert I hope you see my comments and reach out to me. I have a used Condor in excellent condition, I will make you a good deal if you want to own a 2nd one. One more thing, I have spoken to condor on more than 1 occasion about this problem and that has been a complete waste of time. I DO NOT BELIEVE IN DEFUND THE POLICE. I BACK THE BLUE AND BELIEVE I COULD LEARN MUCH FROM OFFICER ROBERT ABOUT SLOW SPEED CONTROL OF A BIG BIKE.

I have two wheel chocks that look just like that, except they have a Harley Sticker over the Condor sticker. You can guess where I got them. They work really well. However my legs are shorter and it is harder for me to back my motors off. I have a Road King (police model) and an Ultra Limited Low.

  • @leadfollow8376

From my experience I would like to add. More is better. Go with at least 4 tie downs never 2. Unless its only local. Long hauls better safe then sorry, especially with a $35,000-45000 Harley. Also on the chock with the speed mount, I would notice the chock stand would have slight movement. So it would not hurt to add the the bolts and the bolt mounts for additional strength. With battery drills it really takes no time. Anything can happen in a Split second on the highway. Bike could still fall or bang into other bike. Always be prepared for the unexpected.

Nice wheel chock. Good that you went through the frame. I just don’t think I would trust my 1000 lb. beautiful bike on 1 key holding that wheel chock down. Your going to strap the bike down so that the weight is pulled forward. If you have to stop your truck/trailer quickly your putting a lot of weight on that 1 key. Please consider this before you get on the road. May God bless. Thanks for the demo.

    • @donbarnes8076
      @donbarnes8076 Před 3 lety +2

The Condor is held in place by the two studs on the bottom that are slid into the key slots in the frame mounted adapter plate. The additional key screw ensures the Condor does not work its way backwards in those key slots. With those two studs and the key screw in place, that Condor is not moving anywhere. And the motorcycle is still strapped down to at least two trailer floor D-rings. I’ve used two Condors mounted in this fashion to haul my two bikes many times over the past 12 years without any issue at all. They stay rock solid in place.
