    This is probably one of my favorite potions/ingredients you've done. Have you thought about doing a potion inspired by Brave? Maybe like a Potion to Change your Fate? Or maybe Yzma's llama potion? I love the Disney potions you've started doing. It gives the entire collection a lot of variations.

    Hmm. I just found a nifty square jar. I *thought* my earth mage had enough bottles (a wolf-sight elixir and phoenix ashes) but I might need to add dragon's blood. I'd just wrap a bit of leather around the neck to make the loop for the belt.

    If you have time please think about doing a video on custom label making!!
    I think it would be cool to see some tutorials either via photoshop or making them with your own hands! (like tea staining or using water colors and what not)
    I have a bad habit of collecting bottles and ingredients for making all kinds of potions and it all just piles up because Im unable to print the labels.... heh... no printer..

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  Před 5 lety

      Nergal I will definitely consider that. I know most libraries will print your documents for either free or a small fee like $0.10-$0.50, which may be an option to consider. Especially if you load all of your labels onto 1 or 2 sheets and print them all at once. I hope that helps, and thanks for watching! 😊

    How long do your potions usually stay “pretty”? Do you have issues with mildew forming or discolouration? If so how long does it usually take to change?

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  Před 4 lety

      malaallo all of my potions have stayed nice. You may get a tiny bit of evaporation in some, but that kind of depends on the environment it is in. (How sunny/warm a space is) I have heard that if your cork or inside of your bottle has not been cleaned prior to making the potion, that some of the styling gel potions can get a little bit of mold at the top; but I have not experienced this, and some of my potions are now several years old. I hope that helps, thanks for watching! 💙

    Is there a reason why you used corn syrup instead of styling gel?

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  Před 5 lety +3

      J Wong because I didn’t want the bubbles you get with the gel. You could definitely use gel or clear dish soap like I did with vampires blood. But when I used the soap with that one I got so many complaints of why I didn’t use corn syrup for fake blood that I figured with this one I’d use it. But all 3 will definitely work 😄. Thanks for watching! 💙

    • @audreyb1269
      @audreyb1269 Před 5 lety

      @@CookingandCraftChick Oh great I was wondering if dish soap would be a good ingredient, because corn syrup isn't very mainstream where I am, and it looked pretty good for the vampire blood.
      I've never thought about using chains for the neck of the bottle, it's a cool change from the usual twine. I was recently thinking that even if I used different kind of twine or thread, it was starting to look a little redondant in my collection. So thanks for the idea of chain or ribbon, and for the great video as always ! :)

    what could i use instead of the corn syrup? cause i would love to recreate this and in the poor, provincial town where i live i can't get the syrup & of course i could buy it online but i don't want to spend to much money on this one ingredient.
    ps: i really love your videos 😊

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Glycerin and food coloring or clear dish soap and food coloring or alcohol free styling gel and food coloring. I have an old video of vampire blood that might help you too. 😊

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  Před rokem

      I use e6000 glue. The waterproof version. Sometimes you have to put a weight on top of the cork to keep it in until it fully cures.

    • @CookingandCraftChick
