Man, just gotta say. As much as a challenge as this was, the mission where you snipe boxes with the squiffer was still much harder for me personally

I thought level 12 on site 5 was an absolute nightmare. It took me an hour to finally beat it. The one with the flying boxes is #2 for me in terms of how hard it was.
I love how the final box falls just shy of the arena, and then (This might just be my personal experience) Callie goes "Oh noooo!" followed by an immediate cut to mission clear
That or I somehow managed to hit the box there anyways

Good to know I wasn't the only one who stayed back and sprayed ink at the rotating platforms waiting for them to loop at the end of the first section to avoid falling in the water again XD
I refused to repeat my first mistake in that part.
Instead I made a different mistake of jumping too late for it to register

@@albertorengan sadly its all in one go bc if you close the game it wont save the checkpoints on the level
@@albertorengan just turn your switch to sleep mode and try again later, though if you want to play something else or do something else in splatoon you have to leave the level which will reset your progress

For those getting completely stuck on the 3rd wave of Octolings in the last part of this stage: I was getting stuck the same, spent hours and hours stuck there, even had to reach this area 2 more times after pressing restart by mistake once and getting an error message another time. I have tried any possible strategy and the best I could do was killing about 8-10 of the 15 ennemies that are thrown at you in this last wave (tried to zone in a corner/in the middle/higher ground, tried to stay on a line on one of the 4 sides of the arena and go left and right, tried to run fast a bit everywhere, tried to use our little friend to attract the ennemies or kill them, tried to heavily use the specials, everything for hundreds of attempts!!!). Then, I decided to go with a last strategy: I decided to paint all the outside corners of the arena, drawing like a giant a square close to the fences cercling the area, and decided to run non stop along this square, always on the same direction, et to kill anyone on my way with my gun (no need anything else). It worked second try! Not only it allows you to be fast, to avoid the ennemies's specials/radars, to swim most of the time as the area used is fully painted, to keep our gun fully loaded, to blast them with dozens of bullets each time we see one on the way, but also to surprise most of them as they don't really understand what is coming to them and they don't get enough time ro react or to gang up on us. Believe me guys, save yourself hours of pure agony and use this method straight! I wish I could have recorded it so I could show you how simple it is. Quite proud to show the damn bear's ears in multiplayer modes now :)

Thank you!! Your strategy worked for me! To add on from it, I also used curling bombs to pave the way so I can swim in ink more easily. I also used small fry on the third wave because I needed help and wanted to keep a distance for some (in case they used splashdown on me)!
Splatoon 3 is my first splatoon and i enjoy it a whole, even did 100% on the story. Was surprised when there was a secret kettle and it was the most infuriating, rage inducing, hair pulling 4 hr run in trying to beat the level.
The bear headband, sticker, and title were pretty nice. Love the game.
You won't believe what happened. I've been following your video to help me through it, I'm trying over and over again at the Octoling section because of the third wave being hard as hell, and during an attempt "the software closed because an error occurred."

Something similar happened to me. Took me 4-5h to get to the last part. I was then trying very hard to finish the third wave for like 2h, I was exhausted, about to go to sleep, then selected "restart" instead of continuing from the checkpoint... I was about to throw my pro controller on the tv! Took me 1h to get back to this point today. Now the console in on sleep mode. I'll need to tackle this last part again tonight.

For me, the entire beginning platforming section until the checkpoint was way harder than troll balloon rails, the third section, and "Girl Power Station 2: Extra Specials edition" combined.

100%. At least the Octolings had an excuse to be difficult since it was a gauntlet, but I still did that in less attempts than the platforming.
Lucky you the platform in was easy to me but the ballon section NO THANKYOU
Nintendo wants a piece of Super Mario in every game, this is just proof of how much they have been holding back.
For real!! The balloons are a little tricky bc my gyroscope is a little wonky, but nothing compared to the first platforming section. I think it's also the longest section without checkpoints? Dying near the end and having to restart the whole thing was gut-wrenching
That last part with the Octolings pushed me to my limits.

So now comes the big question:
How much did Captain Tartar know about this?
He did mention in his big villain speech something about a “primordial ooze, from which the ultimate lifeform would be birthed from”, so how much did Tartar know about the Fuzzy Ooze? Or was he completely oblivious to its exsistence?
Either way you look at it; this all can go back to Splatoon 2’s final Splatfest. It was Nintendo’s way of subtly hinting at where the plot might go, but without the final results, the story for Splatoon 3 could’ve gone anywhere. I’m betting that if Order won Final Splatfest, Splatoon 3’s story would’ve been a similar story to the one we have in this timeline, but with slightly different circumstances, and seeing the poster from the Final Splatfest, it would’ve been reasonable to assume that they would’ve rehashed the Deepsea Metro and its elements from Octo Expansion into what would’ve been Splatoon 3’s story if Order won.
The same could be said for Splatoon 1. I’m betting that Nintendo had the basic story beats for Splatoon 2 already planned out, but had Callie won the final Splatfest instead of Marie, we would seen a VERY different, but still extremely similar story to come from Splatoon 2.
I'd imagine he was oblivious: his 'primordial ooze' was blended up inklings, octolings and whatever else had passed the tests, so he was going to create beings (the 'ultimate lifeforms') from that ooze (with the dna of those dead creatures inside of it). He'd been waiting for over 12,000 years for a new species to be on par with humans, yet none came, hence his villain speech and fight at the end. Mr. Grizz only started Grizzco a few years ago, and only creatures in the metro were able to meet Tartar (if Grizzco passed the tests, which he likely would've, he'd be blended right now). It's possible the same professor that made Tartar left some form of knowledge that Grizz got his hands on, but both would still be clueless of eachothers plans.

Phase 2 has to be the level I hate most. Ride rail levels already suck but this one cranked the difficulty too far. Really hope there aren’t any more in the future dlc

But if you did it like me, trying to beat every level with every weapon, with zero upgrades. Then you'll know the pain of your shot RNG screwing you over and missing shots that should've hit, and then because of the low fire rate, you die.

I finished this level finally, it took me 4 hours but I did it.
Honestly the first part was the hardest I found the rest of the level after the first checkpoint to be a lot easier.
I re-tried like 100 times on the first part ffs the other parts like maybe 8 or 10 times.

@@woefuldoll yeah!! I actually had difficulties at the part where we had to jump across 3 or 4 rails to hit targets at the far left and right. But I managed to complete it all ytd! Took me 4 hours to complete the entire stage till the goal 🥲

This was pretty tough. It was a nice challenge and I didn't take all too long trying to beat it. I was soo scared jt was going to be a checkpointless challenge. I would have killed myself if that was the case.
i would’ve loved it and hated it more if the devs decided to do that. tho something i do wished they did is make you only have 1 life. would’ve given more of a scare factor to actually falling off..

This level was challenging but I feel like I had fun. Aside from the last gauntlet at the end. And the prizes were definitely worth it.
The girl power station lite is not bad. You can stall indefinitely because there is not a core you have to protect.
finally finished this kettle after a 4month break after my last attempt (and almost beating the 1st section), came here to see how somebody else wouldve done.
turns out that camping the top of the 4th section (near the trizooka can) with the octolings is wayyy easier than playing aggressively against them with all those specials lmao i tried for so long tryna beat them before they could swarm me but patience rlly is key to it me thinks.... smallfry is a lifesaver when fully upgraded too, esp if u have the type of aim that tryna lure them over to u means u hit the octolings head on lolol :3 thanks little buddy
I actually was finally able to beat this level last night and it was only my second attempt!! The first level made me nervous because I’m terrible at ink rails and platforming in general, and the second level just made annoyed but once I became accustomed to where the balloons would appear, I got the hang of it, and the third level was no sweat, the last level only took me four tries and that’s because the special spam killed me so much, but once I stuck to a little area, I was able to win!! Your video helped me a ton and I’m glad I finally completed this level 🥳
Reminds me a lot of the Octo Expansion, it'll probably take me many attempts to clear this one lol

The way how things were in explained in Log.exe sort of references to how Kirby was tricked into helping the villain without realizing it. Only difference in this game was that numerous inklings & octolings were tricked by one mammal instead of two baddies
Today on May 4th 2023 i just completed the secret kettle
took a lot of attempts, power eggs and check points but the hassle was worth it. Lost track how many times I lost but I’m glad i got over it.

The final section really got me, but even that only took me under half an hour to do that part, so this wasn’t as hard as octo expansion in my opinion.
This took me hours to complete. But it was a fun level. It was so frustrating tho. Especially the targets and the octolings section. I was about to cry once I finished.. I was so relieved to finish it. I feel like I can take on anything now.
It's very sad seeing Mr Grizz's origin story or Log.exe which starts at 18:31.

I was sad when I defeated the bear as I thought it was all over. Then I discovered a few more easy missions I'd missed and then this. This is a game in itself. I really think it will take me a month to do.
I came here after I finished this level and let me tell you it was punishing me. Idk why but especially the first part triggered me enormous. I probably finished it in 1 hour or so. Was it worth it? I don’t know bro hahaha

@@beanstalko3o720 I did actually. What I did was stay at one end of the map the whole time so instead of me going to them, they come to you. And it makes things alot easier to manage.

@@beanstalko3o720 I moved back and forth from each side, but made sure to stay like in the middle and at the end of the map. Also if you get caught with alot of them around you, you can quickly make you way to the oppositeside of the map where the first special spawns and do the same thing there. Also make sure to use small fry so they attack him, it makes it easier to splat them. And one last thing xD, try not to rush the kills, take your time and you should be good.

Part 1: curdling bombs against the Octo-splatling guy. I used squid surge to stick to the moving platforms. For the final section, ink well, equip burst bombs, and get over and BURST THE WALL
Part 2: Just keep trying. No hints.
Part 3: Lil buddy is your friend. Give him a name. He name Sqrawnk.He will help you. Also burst bombs.
Part 4: ... i haven't gotten past it.
Edit: did I say that little buddy is your friend? Not anymore. Use him as a decoy and to kill enemies. During the second phase, go to the top left area and spawn kill two octolings. For the, third phase good luck. Use curling bombs and avoid using specials like ink strike and stamper that prevent usage of your main weapon. Make sure to shoot the jetpacks out of the air
For part 4.
Rush the first wave so you only 1v1. After that go to the lowered platform and camp there. You can stall basically infinitely there and you only need to camp the 2 super jump spot. Throw bombs to lure the remaining octoling to you and kill them one by one. This is probably the minimums stress way of doing this so less accidental mistakes.
You CAN rush them if you want and they can’t really do much if you are fast enough. Just remember you can just beeline into your safe zone and pretty much nothing can kill you during that.
I can’t get past 7:45. Good to know I’m not even half way through the entire level. 😭
The last section is legit harder than Girl Power, dear lord

I hate how they all like have Wavebreaker. If it wasnt for like four of them having that one special it wouldve been so much easier
At the least wave breaker only had 3 turns and then it breaks and you can manually break it

They really saved the hardest for last
The hardest part of it for me is how long it is
I think the only reason this is complicated is because if you die you restart all over and it gets annoying
First part: inkrail is hardest section
Second part: impossible without burst bombs
Third part: easy, slow, and nerve-wracking
Fourth part: girl power with no orb
the second part is beatable without using a sub weapon

I beat this level without upgrading my gear a single time or getting any of the extra bombs and section 2 was a nightmare, the last jump with all the balloons floating would make me drop into the water so many times.
The first section was pretty hard but it wasnt too bad, I just had to spend a lot of time near the end inking the moving platforms before I got on them. I dont remember if i did or didnt beat the 3rd section 1st try, but it was a lot easier than the 2nd and easier than the 1st section. I beat the 4th section first try though so that was neat

The last part of “after alterna” was super fun for me!
I don’t remember them wver going all out like this in a level in Splatoon. This is way harder than regular story levels.

The hardest part was the start and the end
Even when watching someone else play and beat After Alterna, I still get the same anxiety of when I was playing it. As I was watching the video, both my hands and feet were sweating profusely as I thought about the countless losses I had when trying to beat all four levels without dying
(I could’ve just went back to the last checkpoint but I wanted to make a personal record for myself, which I couldn’t, so I did beat it using checkpoints in the end. I was desperate for completion)

My man you're not bad, trust me, I am stuck at sections 1 and I honestly question if I even want to beat the level-
Curl bombs are your friends. Also avoid some of those specials and cycle out better ones. That's what I did to get missiles quickly. Also if you manage to get Zipcaster, grab the armor cases real fast and make a run for it. Usually I'll save an Octoling so I can cycle until I get the armor.

The amount of stress on those moving platforms where you have to be on the side of the wall is same as shifting in the End in Minecraft 😂

This level was so hard to beat. Took me like 3 hours
I've managed to beat inne agent 3 on the hundredth try but the level of stress of this level is well stressful and unfortunately in a moment of stress I clicked start over on the final part suddenly a waterfall of anger and sadness washed over me but as of writing this I'm on the 2nd part and if I finish this level and get a GOLDEN TOOTHPICK I might just punch a hole In my wall : Edit: you know I honestly prefer the Golden toothpick because at least it looks cool but to late to get back the hour or two that it took to get a silly looking headband
Cmon at least you could assert dominance on people Who knew about this
compared to octo expansion it was less stressful than I expected the story mode was pretty short but overall enjoyable i love a good challenge took me abt half an hour 😭
Did you skip levels or you finished absolutely everything?

I just beat it rn, the bear earings were worth it, so was the title sticker and title
I haven’t finished this level yet and so far I’ve gotten to the part where you have to do a squid surge once(I fell in the water) I’ve only tried like 6(?) times cause I’m scared of the rest and I refuse to do it, I also don’t know how many check points there are
I spent four hours on this stage only to be greeted with a "program closed due to error" on my second attempt at the final stage and lost all of my progress. I have never felt such anger from a video game before.
to add insult to injury all my power eggs I spent retrying each checkpoint are gone too, I spent over 10k. I'm so devistated
a few minutes later I decided to start a new run, five hours later I beat it
Are there "save points"? Or do you have to start over every time you die?
edit: thank god, you can restart from the balloons, I thought I had to do everything every time.
save points at every portal, you pay eggs for 3 lives and when you lose all of them you can pay another fee to go back to the most recent save point

@@albertorengan no, although it might save your progress if you exit to the home menu without closing the game. Take it with a hint of salt though

Me: GUERILLA TACTICS (kill one octoling after another separatly, more efficient if you have that sensor upgrade)
@@Maty-tc1ms good strategy but the main problem is that they're everywhere, specially the third time they come
@@leJaime428 meh i started using that tactic in third attemp and it worked for me (sad i didnt recorded that)
That part put me in my limits. I managed to do it after 15 attempts or more

19 minutes for me really fun level, enjoyed it alot.
The amount of stress and torture this level is, is not worth it to me. But gg to those who can do it!
Just go slowly. Most of my death are accidental mistakes. There is no time limit(except the grind rail section) you can wait till you are absolutely sure you can make the jump or have little buddy to to keep the snake block at max.
@@Pootis-hn3ky Yee the grind rail section is where I'm stuck. Like I get so close to the end but fail every time 😅
