I'm grateful for the thorough description of what a hat does. I'm just gutted I didn't see this 5 years ago.

Great detailed demonstration of outdoor clothing. I think I've haunted Army Surplus stores practically since I was old enough to camp lol. Your video was really good in that it showed how to get a complete outdoor wardrobe on a budget, and you also included the "whys" for each item. The only item of clothing I ever spent a lot of money on was a Fjallraven rain jacket (a clearance sale jacket) and it has served me really well in heavy rain! It has good venting on the sides, too. Anyway, thank you for sharing this!

Lots of good practical advice there & all of it can be purchased at a reasonable cost which proves that you don't have to spend big to " GET OUT THERE " ! On another note I knew that I had seen your face before & when you mentioned ENDY'S I remembered that you had modelled some of Kev's gear on the old Endicotts website. He is a top bloke & what he doesn't know about surplus would be written on the back of a postage stamp ! Take care & all the best, Neil.

Well spotted sir...I was a bit younger then! I needed the pictures for another project and Kev had hardly any pictures back then. I'm glad you pointed out that you don't have to spend a fortune to "get out there", that was the whole point of the video. People think that you need all the gear to "do bushcraft" - you don't - that is the whole point. £300 for a ventile jacket - when a £25 polycotton one works! Thanks for your continued interest Neil

A great informative video from which I learnt a lot, gonna keep an eye out for a lighter wool shirt as the one I have is the more heavier version. Really appreciate you taking the time to share this ~Peace~

I use a gorka-3-bars russian military spetsnaz mountain suit you can get new ones for about £60 thay are made out of windproof canvas, keep the rain out and fire resistant thay do a nice 2 tone green and brown set.

Great breakdown of your clothing system and quite cost effective. What is your take on Ponchos instead of the rain suit?
    Nate

Thanks Nate. I like ponchos and think they are really underrated, I have used them in the past and always have got on well with them. Perhaps I need to make myself a new one!

Great vids those Bushcraft skills! BUT - absolutely annoying repetition of music!
