People have been hating heavy on this game, but they helped stop camping, they stopped the sweats from triple diple back flipping slide canceling across the map. I like what they did, on the other hand some thing need to be fixed.
I agree, I think they have done alot to help fix sweaty tactics or people who sit in one spot the whole game, now they just need to tune weapon balance (and I mean nerf smgs damage range, and give battle rifles a tiny bit more damage range to make them a bit better then assault rifles) and that should keep the game pretty healthy and good

@@toxicgracie3772 It always gives you an indicator if you’re going to be hit, so it doesn’t really matter how far it can drill, the farther the better for clearing out campers. Plus it doesn’t drill through a lot of surfaces that are clearly too thick and tough like solid cement or full rock boulders and stuff. Also the timer on it is ridiculously long so pretty much only noobs or campers are going to be caught out by this thing. Once you are fighting in high enough lobbies (as long as they aren’t the high level camper lobbies) then you can just bring a knife or nade as lethal from then on.
@@AmiciCherno It drills through anything from what I've experienced. Everyone is spamming these things and they dont care what cover you have. I've been behind multiple walls and its killed me. Idk if they're broken or meant to be that powerful, but as they are, they're OP. Rocks and such do not stop them. Nothing stops them. They have a radius of death no matter what. Na it doesn't matter if that radius is 1 foot of cement or 100ft of cement. It will drill through and and explode. It's fcking OP
i love this thing! it may not be the best lethal, but it's comes extremely close. I personally think it's the best tho. run this and a flash nade (probably the best tactical) and it's beyond fun. I also use M4 and MP7, and it's crazy op!
I love it. Instead of having to change your loadout to combat someone with a shield, you can run this. Plenty of other situations it’s useful. It’s a great addition.
Would like to point out that the charge may not kill the shield user if they are highly mobile while it is attached to their shield (i.e. sprinting, dolphin diving, etc.) Have personally been dumbfounded when my drill charge didn't kill the shield user because it plooped out almost 5m away from where they sprinted to after using their shield to ramp up my dental bill.
@Sippin Tea IV both are, yes. Thermite are the ideal choice as semtex sometimes also don't kill the target, either due to glitch or design. I typically just run drill charge because I love the occasional skull boring and blood spewing when I make direct contact with overzealous roamers.
The idea that you could throw this heavy explosive object like a soft banana onto a wall means either they’re on the moon or this dude is the strongest pitcher in the history of baseball.

I mean throwing 3 pound drill charge 100 feet isn’t so crazy when 16lb shot puts have seen 75+ feet, what’s crazy is that he gets it to stick to the wall in the correct orientation at any distance, every time. Try throwing a knife and getting it to stick to a cardboard box the correct direction. Once you’ve got it, move back 5 feet away and try again
A semtex is kinda mid for pubs; if your main problem is shields run a thermite, for all other scenarios run a drill charge. After a little time youll learn how to use the drill charge affectively and see its more practical
Ya it’s bullshit. I didn’t find out drill charges could stick/go thru shields until I found out. Like at least sticking a Semtex to a shield user is somewhat skillful, but these Drill things are borderline OP
Molotovs, c4, semtex, drill charge, rpg, grenade launcher, they all one shot kill shield if you get direct hit. Or you can hit them with shock stick to bring their shield to the side and shoot them, run around them with a knife and stab, haven't tried AP rounds on one yet, but I bet those work too. Stop being dramatic and git gud.
The riot shield is literally the worst weapon in cod history, and it only keeps getting more weakness, hopefully the attachments that let us quickswap to pistols also works with shields, that would be fun.

Gosh I love this thing. I’ve been using it since I first unlocked it in the beta. My FAVORITE use is in Invasion/ground war. Throw it on a vehicle and it kills everyone inside. So strong.
So at first glance it looks like they coded it to go fully though any one service or object. That's why when he did it through the wall amd door frame it didn't kill if you look at where it went off it was between the wall amd frame being separate entities it didn't keep going. Same with the shipping containers because we can go in them the containers have walls it goes off inside . This is a really interesting test and was really cool to see. For those wondering why they did it this way and not a specific distance it's due to some of the tests youre seeing . The Door frame and wall would be abit crazy to be able to pull off . . So for some balance they based it on object not distance with some adjustments added in of course ( ie the heavy mini gun test )
The device is basically a 6 inch drill tube that fires a grenade yes. What im wondering is how that grenade goes through the other 4 or 5 feet of solid concrete.
Riot shield is a bit tricky as the player is usually moving and after the penetration they can move away from the charge itself and it is quite rare to kill them with it.
It's actually based on wall thickness? I assumed there were just certain walls/floors/surfaces that were tagged as being penetrable by charge like they do with bullets. TIL i guess.
You guys should note that whilst drill charges do go through the riot shield the explosive still drops on the ground so if the riot shield user is moving fast enough it won’t kill them, I learned this the hard way

But I think the only reason the drill charge stops short is because technically on the container it drilled through the outside of it and blew in the inside, same with the dump truck, with the wall against the building I think it's because it drilled through the wall but the gap between the building and the wall is considered an opening so it registers as it drilled through
One thing ive learned about these drill charges if you throw them at a conner, but you throw it the conner where it cant go through the other side itll pop out of the open edge!
Haven't played the game and have to say this looks OP. I love the idea of it, and the fact it can go through building walls and rooms. But the fact it can drill through sandbags, vehicles, concrete blocks, etc... is just stupid. Brilliant camping prevention idea, just a little too much. But I know... COD is basically Michael Bay if he made a video game.
I think what it's programmed to do is to make that drilling noise for a second or so and then it will set an explosion in front of it a few "feet" and that's why it always goes so far
The only people hating on this game are the people who think a few bugs make a game bad, & people who only play games like overwatch, where there’s a hard skill ceiling, and they can’t stand that other people can maneuver & strategize their way into dominating a match on this new MW2
havent played CoD since MW3 (2011, I believe) and I like the new one. The game didnt crash at all on my PC (only Operators Screen sometimes puts you back into Main Menu). But I don't like the maps so much, hope there will be more and better (bigger and less chaotic) maps. Also sometimes reloading is buggy in combination with an accidental slide (normaly I dont use that because it slows down ads so much)
Looks like it penetrates pretty far, just depends on whether the object is solid, like the shipping crate it went off in the inside because it's not solid. That long ass wall next to the house it went all the through the wall but blew up between the wall of the house and the wall because they aren't technically one piece
1:18 its a bad test, the wall and the house are different game objets thats why u can see it blowups just in the hole between the end of the wall and the building. from your testing i think the drill charge penetrate one object until the end of it.

Want to breach a door but think theres someone with a deployable wall there? Drill charge Em. All in one drill charge. And i just turned it into a sale..
Also from this video you can tell if something is “Solid” itll go through to the other side iff its not too long of a space. But if it a “open” space in between and even if it should go through it want. And if something looks solid and with the range a drill charge can go through but it doesn’t remember what that it is because most likely itll be the same on all maps.

The drill charge us really one of the greatest tools this game has given us. I hope to continue to see it in later COD games. I use quite a lot.

I think the little detail where you can hear the drill struggling to get through the juggernaut armor is pretty cool.
Did you know that instead of taking fall damage the juggernaut will cause a hefty explosion? Neither did i until yesterday

Attach the drill charge to the inside of a teammates riot shield and have them charge into an objective to clear it out

The juggernaut’s armor gradually breaking as it takes damage is an amazing detail!
This is exactly why I run the 'bomb squad' perk, I can confirm I have survived through even thin walls
Note: on hollow objects like closed cargo crates, it does not go all the way through
