      It’s not about more practice he has the wrong plow for this. Needs a wide out with scoops on the end. Staying in scoop with a V for long pushes spills to much over the sides.

    I don't get running in full scoop every pass, just makes no sence to me I guess...why not just scoop in a little bit so u can get more width out of it? Mys well just run a 7foot plow, all u can hear is the guy holding the button to try to get it to scoop further lol

      You're not wrong . But the plow is part of the problem. Boss plow cylinders suck. The wings constantly come up against relief pressure and open up on you so sometimes you have to stay on the controller to keep them from screwing you over. Boss plows are pressure out and spring return. Fisher and western dual acting cylinders work way better for not fighting the plow. I run Boss gear for work and have the same problems. Really sucks in the night time cause the extra plow draw dims the headlights too.

      Disagree folks, this is a decent amount of snowfall with a long run to where he is putting the snow. Full scoop is the way to go. Carry the most snow ❄️ in the early passes. Clean up the details after.
      The long run and backing all the way back are different issues for me. Every minute the plow is not pushing snow costs money.
      Maybe the snow pile locations are beyond his control-but I like to plan the site so the plow is on the ground as much as possible.

    • @joekennedy9647
      @joekennedy9647 Před rokem +2

      He’s spilling more snow snow off the sides in full scoop than properly using the plow. Most guys with zero plow experience use a v blade this way.

  • @AdventurePlusOne
    @AdventurePlusOne Před 7 měsíci +2

    I understand there is a lot of snow and I don't know the exact conditions but some advice I would give it change your order of operation.. meaning this. Early on your got stuck. I think this could be avoid by doing your main drive completely first, the one running through the middle of the complex. Then push your secondary roads onto that main road thats been cleared, then take those piles up top. You truck got overwhelmed because it's already slightly uphill and it had an uncleared surface it was still trying to plow as well as the additional snow you added from the side roads. Also, if you can make use of windrowing, do that more. That is determined on where you're allowed to put snow but if possible window to one side and not collect it all. Just my thoughts. Keep it up though!

    I truly don't understand your logic with the way you plow. You do half of a parking lot and then move on to the next. Several places you could pile snow but choose to push it all out on the main road and then push it to the back. Doing apartment complex's parking lot with a pick-up truck is not practical. You should have a bobcat for a job like that.
