Good video mate and some spot on points. You just cannot underestimate the importance of having enough work space every thing else revolves around that and I reckon it's a make or break for a top camping trip. Keep up the good work pal and happy camping
Some great ideas. Can't wait to get to our kitchen build in our square drop mini camper build.
That’s a pretty good setup you’ve got. Well done!
Another great video, Daniel....and thanks so much for mentioning my fold-up table and including the link to my video, it's very much appreciated.
You’re most welcome! I think your table is a great solution to a problem many people face - after all, you can never have enough bench space! 🍻
All great points mate. Nice set up. I have my tap directed over the ground so I don't have to get a sink all wet and then have to empty it each time.
Sick setup mate. Really inspiring and good ideas!
Thanks for sharing your set up. Looks very practical 👍
We’ve got some drawers and a drawer fridge on order from Drifta. I CAN NOT WAIT to get out there. 👍🏻
Thanks, love a good aussie camping tip x
Great tips and video. 👌👍
Wow nice set up
Mate you've put alot of thought into that setup. Well done and thank you for the great ideas and explaining why you used the approach.
Very good
hey man like your vids heaps but just wanna say u sound like ur interviewing for the next season of Getaway haha
He's got his own style 👌
Good content man
Thanks!
Just an idea... have the stove on that top wood top bench and then have a slide out bench
Saves the dead space when cooking
Nice set up there mate 👍. I suggest you remove the lid off your cooker to free up all that bench space. Unless you have to have it on there when you cook.
I don't think you really need it though.
Love the slide out pantry. Great idea.
Thanks mate! I've thought about removing the lid but at the moment it's acting as a splashback preventing cooking splatters from getting into the canopy, and while travelling I store my BBQ plate on the cooker and the lid keeps it in place. Good suggestion though. 🙂
You sound like you have decades of experience.. 😄✔
Well spoken, good video work!✔🙂
Haha only a single decade I'm afraid...! 😂 Thanks mate 🙂
Man, you make it seem so cool and interesting. I wonder if I should go that route and build a kitchen in the back of my vehicle. My main issue is how much weight is the average kitchen and do people keep them in their vehicles all of the time , or remove them and place them back in for overlanding or off road adventures?
Mate I have the same canopy as you and I installed an 85L Bushman upright fridge. It is the perfect fit. Very reasonably priced and you don’t need a fridge slide which are expensive and heavy. I would never go back to a chest fridge for a canopy set up. You’re welcome to have a look at mine if you want. I’m in Como.
Hey mate, good to know! I’ve been considering a fridge upgrade as of late and have been tempted to go upright... how do you find the power consumption? Cheers.
@@explorebound The Bushman generally draws 2 to 4 amps. It is seriously efficient. I was camped for a few days and only used my roof mounted 80watt solar panel which was half in shade and battery never went below 70%. Didn’t need to get out my solar blanket. I originally chose the Bushman based on size - it is the best fit for an MRT canopy. Regards Paul
@@mothergoose3064 That's great to know - cheers for the reply. Will definitely be looking into one for myself I reckon!
Awesome setup with the sink and water did you have a video where shows you making it at all
Hi Shane, sure do! czcams.com/video/17CUnr4_IVc/video.html
Hey mate love the idea with the cooker on the slides. Just wondering how do you connect the regulator where the slide is? Cheers
Also any issues with screwing it in?
Hi mate, the runners screw into the cooker just before the gas attachment screws in - here’s a video showing how it works: czcams.com/video/bpnG0czYQAk/video.html
All good mate ive got the even temp and the regulator is on the side at the back so ill have to come up with something to make it work
Hey mate just curious why your tray is on an angle sloping towards the car? Is the tray like that so that when the canopy is placed onto the tray it levels out?
Very well presented. Been meaning to ask. How do you keep all your items in your pantry from flying around? I use pieces of light soft sponge.
I usually just pack it to the brim so stuff doesn't slide around but when it's on the empty side stuff tends to go everywhere so might try your sponge idea!
@@explorebound Cool. It works for me. Same with the fridge as it gets low. I have what I call the fridge towel. I just put it in the fridge and push it around all the gaps. Stops all the rattles. Hate rattles. Lol
Loving your slide out pantry who made it for you . Cheers
I built the pantry up myself! Here’s an overview of the build if you’re interested: czcams.com/video/dg9p99edhx8/video.html
I don't have an upright but here's something I heard someone say , with no actual experience of my own I'm just going to repeat it
Hey mate is your slide out pantry a slide out drawer on its side?
Hey mate, it's custom built using 'Connect It" aluminium pieces - here's a video on the build: czcams.com/video/dg9p99edhx8/video.html
Are you using the "caribee 7L folding wash basin" As your sink?
Mine's the Companion model from BCF but pretty much the same thing!
Hows that stove for a wok?
Inventor of the #hipstick
Haven’t tried a wok personally, but it puts out a fair amount of heat so I reckon it would work a treat 👌
Here's a tip. Tomatoes doesn't need to be refrigerated.
