MHGU G3★ Hyper Lavasioth Great Sword Speedrun 04'48'50''

- Hey everyone, it's been a while since I last practiced for a speedrun and I was bored - hence ended up trying to get a decent time against Lavasioth. Turns out there are incredible openings to dish out huge chunks of lv 3 charge attacks and the head is quite easy to hit once positioning is on point.
Only downsided is it's yet another monster that seems to limp away faster than a hunter can keep up with, resulting in a quite a bit of time loss pursuing into the next area.
Might continue some more runs if I find the time, for now enjoy! :-)

Ya know I actually don’t hate this fight in GU. Idk if it’s because u don’t bounce and stand around as much as the world version or that the styles and arts make it more manageable in GU than it’s other old world iteration. I had to grind this mon a lot in GU and once I started to learn the fight it’s actually became semi enjoyable to interact with
I agree, he’s really not that bad once you understand the move patterns. I’d say the only move that’s terrible is when he’s far away and decides to slither towards you. If not using valor or adept dodge that move is annoying 😅
Except for db or sns i guess, god its so horrible without mind eye. Good thing sns have mind oil.
Have you ever consider on doing a run of mhgu against Seregios using bow? I think no one ever recorded a bow run vs Seregios.
Have experimented a little with GS and LS so far, but didn’t seem to be getting anywhere. His tendency to fly about and stay out of range in addition to the scales and bleed effect are a nightmare. I haven’t found many runs regardless the weapon especially for MHGU.
If i recall correctly his hind legs were a lot more prone to make him trip in 4U compared to GU. But maybe you’re on to something with bow, i’ll give it a try sometime and see how it goes 😆
@@huntersdomain3479 I feel like this is the hardest matchup for bow, especially in its spawning area.
@@soratheorangejuicemascot5809 doesn’t sound very enticing 😅 but who knows, if there’s a way to stun lock him with rapid or heavy bow, it might work. I don’t think Seregios has a long recovery animation though 🤔
@@huntersdomain3479 how about not aiming its gunner weakspot? Give it a good old fashion leg work out. Ditch the weakness exploit, I think. What I need to know is which is the right bow for this. Perhaps some spread bow can work, or the zinogre bow. I think I really need to get this game to see if it works.
Reason why I ask this is because I never beat Seregios with a bow. Edit.. in MH4U and MHgen.
@@soratheorangejuicemascot5809 i don’t think i ever used a bow on him either, if u did beat him then only while on a group hunt online 😅
Spread would be really cool if it could work since it barely ever gets used. I do think if it works at all it’ll end up being the classic choices - nerscylla’s rapid bow or the harbinger heavy bow
