As a loyal Samsung customer, I have consistently admired their bold approach to innovation and their commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology. However, when it comes to foldable phones, I must express my disappointment with the lack of progress and stagnation in design and specifications over the past six years. This complacency is not only regrettable but also embarrassing for a company that prides itself on being at the forefront of technological advancements.
Samsung lost the crown of fold phones
They never earned the crown before. They didn't have competition in the beginning. They lost few years now just that most samsung fanboys didn't realise it.

@@AM-wi6zo Some people already realize big brand doesn't mean is good, especially their SC in my country is really bad here, warranty or care+ is useless, except foolish people that still go for branding rather than comfort use., i am ex samsung user, oneui is really trash in my opinion after update, samsung hardware is broke one by one, i prefer other brand that have better performance and stable OS.

yes they are the best sellers now. it will not be the same forever, they already lost a lot of market share in foldables since the chinese options came out. a lot of people are finding out that the other options are just way better. and with time that amount of people will only increase.
Currently an iPhone user. Waiting for iPhone to design a fold. However I’m very tempted to get the next honor fold model. As I simply cannot wait. I want a fold phone !

Once you go fold, there is no turning back. I started with a ZFold2 (loved it) , and now I switched to a MagicV2. I am charmed with it. I cannot think of using a regular phone since I went fold 😅

You really need to hold a magic v2 or v3 in your hand to understand how much advanced honor is when it comes to design and harware experience.
Magic os is not as refined and good as one UI though. But you can get use to that.
The form factor and the everyday usage are a big win for honor.
If Samsung would release a zfold with the same form factor, thickness and weight it would be an absolute banger.

For MV3 Camera is not 50/20 (x2.5)/50 for Wide/Tele/UltraWide but 50/50 (x3.5)/40 Mp (Source Honor China datasheet MV3)
Samsung still wins in the software and reliability department. Hardware matters very little if the user interface and controls for said hardware are terrible or dont squeeze out everything the hardware is capable of. The reason why the phone is still so much thicker on thd Samsung is because of S pen support, the technology for that takes up a lot of room. The new slim model will be 11 mm and have a 6.5 inch outter display and a 8 inch inner display with no spen support.
Only issues are updates. Honor, Vivo, and OnePlus don't release updates quick neither do they support well over 3 years
Nobody keeps the folds for more than 2 years so no issues there .
Vivo has the most regular updates. way more than samsung. just saying

The Z Fold 6 is not dust resistant, it's resistant to particles bigger than 1mm only, making it okay to use on a windy beach for example. As for the A.I features, there's Apps that do that. China is pumping out incredible phones, like the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro etc...

It dEpends on various factors:
1. Are you into tech and need the software and AI features, or do they not matter to you? If yes, then go for the Z Fold 6 (but keep in mind, the AI features are only free till 2025, after that there's a subscription), but if hardware specs are more important, then go with Vivo.
2. How long do you plan to use this phone? Because Samsung offers 7 years of support.
3. What's your budget like? The Fold 6 is expensive.
4. How invested are you in the Samsung ecosystem, like with the watch and buds? If you're pretty invested, then the Fold 6 is a good choice, otherwise, go for the X Fold
5. There might be other factors depending on your usage that I haven't mentioned, feel free to share them below.

My Fold 4 has to go. 5 was first time I didn’t upgrade. 6 is disastrously boring. I am going for the Honor V3
For almost 3000$, (if you're in my country), the fold 6 should have kept the headphone jack, expandable memory, got rid of the crease, put the 10x optical zoom lens that the s22 had, put a larger battery, faster charging and cleaned my house on a daily basis. Thats ridiculous that you would have to pay money for their AI software. Most of it is gimicks to alter your photos anyway. There are plenty of apps that do that for free. Samsung just keeps getting worse and worse and charging more, removing features and adding them on a watch or a ring so that you have to buy more products, I don't understand their business model anymore... bye.
Fold 6 cover display resolution is only HD+ not even full HD for this much costly phone.

Yes, there are rumors that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will be the slimmest foldable phone. It's supposed to come out next month, but we don't know the exact dimensions yet. For now, the Honor is the slimmest foldable phone.

What they're not telling you is the silicone battery longevity is literally 1/3 of the current Samsung battery, add 66w fast charging to that you'll kill your battery within a year.

Honor Magic V3 has Snapdragon 8 gen 3, 16GB RAM and what appears to be the Magic 6 pro Camera and you think that's trash? Those are not good specs to you?
