Ironsides shipwreck exploration and equipment mishap !

- Mark, Ray and I decided to head out to a local shipwreck on 10-27-22 to do some late season diving on a local to me shipwreck.
Mark's dive partner and dive mentor actually found this shipwreck many years ago, so it was awesome to have him out there with us!
Cletus Eugene Turner, better known as "Gene Turner" is a legendary shipwreck hunter and found the wreck of the Ironsides in 120' of water, 3 miles off of Grand Haven, Michigan in 1966! - Zábava

Thanks much! There’s always things that happen with the boat or gear on any dive trip that are not filmed because fixing the issue is more important than capturing it haha. Having a fresh engine rebuild on the boat for next season will help though!

Ah yes, it wouldn't be a dive without some drama. I dropped a GoPro coming up from the Eber Ward last summer. 145 feet straight to the bottom. It's not as expensive as your tank and reg, but enough to get me back into my drysuit to retrieve it. Nice video, I like the editing.
That sucks! Especially to lose all your footage, but hopefully you were able to recover it. Not every dive goes perfect, but that’s what we aim for with the deep stuff! Thanks for watching 👍🏼⚓️
What kind of boat is it?
This is a 1988 Penn Yan Avenger - hard top. It’s actually an ex national park service boat from the Apostle islands area in Lake Superior, with some stickers still remaining in the cabin area!
