We've covered this rumor for a while now but several rumors are going around that it will soon be made official that Tama Tonga, one of the founders of the infamous Bullet Club faction, will be heading to WWE.
With a recent storyline on NXT involving the return of Gallows and Anderson to the brand, and mention of a secret partner, many logically came to the conclusion that this will be Tonga. Not only does Tama have ties to the original Bullet Club members already in WWE (Finn Balor, Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows) but his father, known as Haku in WWF and Meng in WCW, has a lineage in the sports entertainment kingdom as well. There was also a very public online beef between Tonga and Roman Reigns several years ago on social media.
We look at the possibilities of Tama Tonga in WWE, why this might be a better fit for him than AEW, and whether the WWE fans who said Bullet Club didn't mean anything for the last twelve years will now change their tune.

I'm not gonna start watching WWE just for Tama Tonga or any other NJPW talent that jumps ship. However, Tama Tonga was with NJPW and a flag bearer for that company for 12 years. He deserves everything good and prosperous that comes his way.

I think he will be just fine! He has a Great Physique and Look that the WWE likes he's Very Markable he's a handsome dude he's what? A second Generation wrestler? So yeah he's gonna be alright from my Viewpoint.

One other small tidbit that was omitted in this wonderful report is that his brother, Tanga Loa, was once "Camacho" in NXT. Yes, a "cholo" gimmick. Not even stereotyping, they really wanted his brother to play a gangbanging Mexican.
Man, I'm happy he's closer to his kids, but I wish this signing happened 8 years ago. But then again, that old creepy specter was still booking the main roster, so...
Let remember too that the rock also considers haku his uncle. He's mentioned it in multiple interviews. rocky johnson and his wife took haku in when he first came to wwe so just image when the split between roman and the rock happens that the rock brings in his uncles son tama tonga as his back up against the bloodline. There's also the fact that WWE now has Balor, anderson and gallows so maybe FINALLY we get to see the reformation of the original bullet club ( minus fale of course)
Just really happy for Tama. He gets to spend more time with his family and he gets to work with his friends. He was never going to go to AEW. He was very vocal on his podcast about how he wasn’t necessarily a fan of Tony Khan’s presentation nor his decision making.

Tama is very close to the Anoa'i family. The Rock called Haku his uncle & Haku lived with their family. I think he could be added to the bloodline.

Things that were said about "never leaving NJPW" were all said pre-pandemic. Many people have said AEW's existence ruined NJPW as much as covid has but I don't think so. I think COVID damaged NJPW in more ways than we know about. Now AEW has become a lifeline for NJPW fans in the states and had there not been a pandemic, I believe that the AEW/NJPW alliance would be a bigger threat to WWE than either of them right now. Nevertheless, currently I am satisfied with all 3 products right now and I agree that Tama is a better fit in WWE. I just hope if they do a reunion with the OGs they better come up with a different name because The Club, Balor Club, or the OC just isn't it. Cartridge is another word for bullet. They could go with the Cartridge Family? Lol!! Just kidding... TBH, I think some trademarks are dumb, but that's a different conversation for a different time.

I won't watch WWE, but i'll add Tama Tonga's matches to Cody's on the list of stuff i catch up with on CZcams after the fact. I agree WWE is the best fit for him and an OG BC reunion would be fun, I think HHH is savvy enough to see the cool factor there. I also admit i wonder about the Bloodline, is there enough of a connection there that they'd consider injecting him as a way to revitalize that storyline? (since clearly they have no interest in letting it conclude)

Tonga Loa is supposed to be there as well so and Jacob fatu but if it were me I would probably ask permission to use the bullet club logo or something close to it have the lights go out and hit his firing squad music and they storm the ring throw up the two sweet and have them talk to Finn in the following weeks saying he’s changed and make him choose between the judgement day and the BC that’s there
Tama in WWE don't really move the needle for me.
I’m happy for him getting his pay day and getting to move forward with his career but I’m indifferent to it personally

@@aceloco817actually his family has pretty close ties to The Bloodline. The Rock even called his father Haku his uncle, so in a way Tama is a stepcousin for The Rock, Roman, Solo and The Usos. 😂
