Explaining 5-30 Ricardo Cheese strat in 6 min (small error fix in pinned comment) | Limbus Company

00:00-00:22 Step 1 : remove Ish's EGO to prevent unwanted corrotion, borrow a Nclair support from friend (preferably have lantern EGO)
00:22-00:29 Step 2 : pick sinner in following order : 1 Ish 2 Nclair
00:29-01:26 Step 3 : Let Ish tank all the damage (use Guard to take arrows away from Nclair). Pull Guard to same skill slot Nclair is targeting, so he can get one-sided attack without the need to clash
01:26-02:27 Step 4 : In wave 2, you basically do the same thing as Wave1, but you cannot use Nclair's skill3 (save it for boss stage)
02:27-05:50 Step 5 : In Wave 3, let Ish do dmg on ricardo first to trigger his counter (if N clair is faster, let Nclair do dmg on minion instead)
Only start nuking Skill3s when you see the sunglass debuff (double sinner's dmg this turn). You can actually start nuking on the turn where Ricardo uses his Guard+Evade (the sunglass appears [On Combat] but clearable either ways) - Hry

There's a small error in the video here, where you actually can start nuking on the turn where Ricardo uses his Guard+Evade (but clearable either ways)
remember to use Offset for this turn (offset explained at 4:55)

Never had an issue with any of the bosses in the story far, but with this one, after over at least two dozen tries, and hours of grinding to get a full 40 team I still failed.
Today I tried the fight with this strategy and passed it on first try. Thank you for allowing me to continue enjoying the story!

I'm pretty sure this dude is the hardest fight in the game ignoring cheeses. Maybe with specific units you can wreck him, but otherwise all I can say is good luck.
I’d say Ahab and her crew is almost unquestionably worse to deal with. Assist Defense and Assist Attack are brutal, and the crew even without those two abilities hurt. Ricardo is mainly just a DPS check.

got it on a 2nd try, 1st one my nclair got 3 heads on s3 with -25 sanity, I thought of running my mvp ids comp with slosh ishmael and hoping let her take all the focus while my team does dmg but I didn't have her on uptie 4 so I thought I might be stuck for a little longer or unless I get lucky and get mentor meur, thanks for the guide you saved me like good 5 days of waiting

I started playing Limbus Company a month ago and really liked, but this stage made me feel genuine rage and now I question the logic behind Project Moon when they were creating Ricardo. Like, what new players are supposed to do if not to cheese this fight???? (So far I only have worshop Rodya as someone who can be a blunt dps, but thankfully my friend has Ncorp Sinclair)

Thanks heaps for this guide. Stopped using a full team once i saw this since game doesn't make it clear that Ishmael cant die. Also because full team here actually just feels detrimental lmao
I ended up using a support Nsinclair but started with LCCB Ish + Nfaust. Definitely winnable but its too RNG. Just cbf restarting constantly because of the first two waves taking ages (was so close tho).
I feel this boss is made really anti fun because of the stupid counter-attack. They obviously want you to nuke him hard in one turn but counter-attack move makes it really RNG since you depend on Ishmael speed being faster than your nuker and if not then its gg. If they removed that this fight would be alot better designed
I finally did it! Used my own Nclair and after a few tries I beat him. Props for Nclair being the true YES DAMAGE ID.
I was just a bit of damage away from the second stagger threshold with my rag tag tremor team and still couldn't do it, it was my first wall. But hey, this worked.
Thanks to you, now I can hopefully keep grinding story to reach WARP event in time.

this is because ishmael isn't allowed to die in order for the cutscene using the premade sprites to happen. so she gets a hidden buff where she's effectively immortal.

Hey does anyone know if Limbus Company on mobile has the support option? I’ve been looking for it and the button just doesn’t exist at all which sucks since my friends do have NClair while I don’t. Is it just me not looking in the right place or is it just the mobile version not having that feature? I can’t switch to PC since I’m in no position to even get one in the first place. (School + poor). It sucks since I really want to clear canto 5-30 and tried a lot of strats to no avail! I love this game and I’m happy I can even play it in the first place, but it just feels like mobile is an inferior version. Any help is appreciated.

I tried this strat and my NClair keeps losing SP, I don’t have the Lantern E.G.O, and for some reason the enemies keep targeting NClair before I even reached the third wave. Please help? ;_;

Final update: I did it. I staggered him again during his turn and was able to win, thus so using this strat. Thank you for the strat my fellow ego facer 🙏
Something that could also help is any ID that has Aggro for Ishmael, but only one ID has it and it’s Uptie 4 LCCB lol
It's not a pretty good choice here for this strat
since her speed range is pretty low, meaning most of the time she would be slower than Nclair
which might not be ideal when Ricardo has counter and Nclair has no attack options

@@beanedman to prevent panic you would need to equip a EGO, which at least makes you do some dmg
ive been retrying for 3 hours, i think i suck. the main problems i face at the ricardo are speed. how do you even counter when he's faster than ishmael and just blitzes n clair. another is small moments where n clair is faster than ish so he takes the counter and the run ends. another is the hair coupon, how do you even counter that? man i hate this boss goddamn LMAOOO
Are you running base ish? Since base ish has really high speed range, it’s better for redirecting and being faster than Nclair
Ricardo’s speed range is 2-7
Base ish speed range is 5-8
Nclair speed is 3-8
Also, picking base ish as 1, Nclair is 2 is also important
When 2 sinners have same speed, who moves first is determined by the order you picked them
If Nclair is faster than ish, and Ricardo has counter, it’s better to just let Nclair hit the minions and pass the turn
As for hair coupon, the strat here is to end the fight before hair coupon even happened
And if you still have speed issue while using base ish, it’s kinda just unlucky :( just retry a few times more, normally I see people clear with this strat in 1-5 tries (if everything is done correctly)

the NClair I borrowed keeps getting stunned. I can nuke Ricardo's HP down to about 60-ish%, then he gets stunned by one of the minions

@bladeath860620 Ah, sorry, Ricardo gets to his stage where he has evade and defense, but sinclair got staggered on that turn, and he dies next turn ending my run.

Form previous turn counter?
If Ishmael cannot hit Ricardo earlier than Nclair when Ricardo has counter, better to just not hit Ricardo at all, just wait patiently instead
Btw, using base Ishmael would be easier since she’s the fastest Ishmael out there that can be faster than Nclair most of the time
@bladeath860620 yep using base ishmael and nclair. I did it again after this using a friend’s sinclair and it worked better since he was higher level and had more hp. I sorta fixed my own problem lol. Thanks for helping me out tho! :DD

Base Ishmael is actually better because she is faster than other IDs, you don’t need levels, my Ishmael in this video is only lv 8

Not really, but it can prevent you panic and not doing dmg while Ricardo is vulnerable

You mean legit way? Or how to copy this strat?
If you mean how to copy, you can borrow a Nclair, like showed in the first 20 second of video
Legit way would be bringing as much blunt IDs as possible, some other IDs like Dieci Rodion, Butler outis, Regret Faust etc, but these are just suggestions
A friend of mine also cleared this with Capmael + Cinqlair (both pierce) duo
@bladedeath860620 i meant the legit way but yeah now that i realize this boss is just a straight dps check and dieci rodion is a good counter-match as i can get as much shield as possible if i didnt pass the dps check to survive the coupons attacks and also thanks for making me realize it.

so, did this and staggered twice but no cutscene, no other sinclair ego so he got up instead and beat me to death :D

How do you make them attack only ish??
If ish is faster, use ish’s skill (we use guard here so she doesn’t lose clash and drop SP) to take the attack away, as you can see in 00:56
if there’s like 5 enemies targeting Nclair at the beginning turns, that’s just unlucky, just retry
