IMHO, the old oligarchs are the Malthusians playing a zero sums game.
They view their wealth as a percentage of global resources. They view mass population reduction as the simplest and most elegant way to maintain and grow their wealth and control.
I think the newer upstart oligarchs view themselves as technocrats. They want to grow their wealth thru a massive expansion of human capabilities.
Asteroid mining, interplanetary colonization, mind machine interface, digital immortality.
Don't get me wrong, neither group cares one bit about us.
While I do view the second group as slightly more favorable to leaving me the ef alone.....I believe our real opportunity lies in the uncertainty of their conflict.
So we have Israeli shadow financial economics services play in the back ground .
This is all correct, but also the reason why a New Democrat win will serve the same agenda.
That's the entire point of parliamentarism.
