- Matthew, Mark, Luke and John each had a distinctive portrait they were painting for their respective audiences. Although we are studying them together as a harmony, there is great value in looking for the theological messages that make each Gospel unique.

Yes, you piqued my interest. Thank you
Thanks for sharing this information with us!
Another fantastic video!!! Thank you!!!
Excellent! Thank you for the time and expertise in putting together a video of simple understanding and such value in studying the scriptures❤
Just wow.... where to start. In less than 20 minutes I feel like I've absorbed more than a months worth of scripture class, 🤣! I think Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John would all breath a sigh of relief watching this video, knowing that it focuses on their intended messages rather than on the false notion that their works are parts of a complete biography. Those bullet points of information were so cool! Personally, I can't wait until we are all once again sitting at our Saviors feet, like good little students, while He teaches us botany once more, just as He did so long ago, be it metaphorically or literally 😁 Thank you both for another great video!!
Except that the apostles Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John didn't actually write the gospels.
@@princessfartsparkles6681 indeed! And yet the Gospels bare their names all the same, all the more reason for them to be grateful for the clarifications in this video! 😁
Awesome!! Love it!
Thank you❤️
Looking forward to studying the New Testament next year!! Have a wonderful Christmas!❤🇨🇦

You guys kicketh aſſ
Are you able to make the pdf slides available?
What do you think about that online it says that in the middle east area that the smaller seed is a black mustard seat. They are making the point that it was in Jesus ‘ time. It’s an easy look up.
The “facts” being secondary to theology, although in vogue in Christian scholarship, is really the tail wagging the dog; and and thinking person can see that. So it does not remove our difficulty. I would rather say that I don’t know why their seem to be inconsistencies yet; rather than “the writers were trying to paint a picture of who Jesus is… so they made up a bunch of scenarios to show that”. Real facts should be able to do that.
I think the Bible is the result of a political process, not the result of a central editor proactively orchestrating the work of each author to create a harmonious whole.
In the first decades, there were dozens of Christian communities each developing their own theologies. Over the course of hundreds of years, Christian factions struggled to determine what should be cannon and what should be heretical. The Bible is the result of that political struggle - full of compromises required to appease each of the largest and richest factions.

I don’t believe your expresión the Apostles wrote exactly what they heard Jesus words.
Only apostle John entitle his Gospel from the beginning Jessus as god ,and the word too ,word of God he was sent to speak about God father ,but was it God on the same level ,from the beginning of nothing,?could not he was imself created by the creater , he could not choose himself as God to be God so what? Moses was once given the name god, satan too is the God of this sydtem of things ,Jessus said man can be god too. So what ?when we pray to god,its not to jessus ,only to jehovah.God.not to word.
