- Tom and Nathan have a great conversation about various topics including Nathan's early career as a standup comedian with Patrick Stack, working with Mickey Rooney and George C. Scott, jobs he'd held before becoming a professional actor, going to Catholic school, doing "Merlin: The Magical Musical" on Broadway and so many other topics. They also take a few phone calls.

Nathan is such a delight! Ever so adorable
One of my very favorites since I was 12 years old. I'm 30 now and still love him to pieces.
Too many of his quips go unnoticed!
He looks soooo like Albert Goldman here!!!
He is such a cutie here. So sweet. Wish he had remained like this forever. It's a pity time passes and people get old.
Love him so much. Nathan Lane (my crush). Is so Underrated in Hollywood (Always now), movie or tv show, shame Hollywood, shame.
Fantastic actor, he's so awesome in every genre he plays : The Birdcage, Mousehunt, Guys And Dolls, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Love! Valour!Compassion!, The Lisbon Traviata, Odd Couple, The Producers, The Iceman Cometh, The Nance (❤️), Angels in America (👏👏), The Good Wife, American Crime Story or Penny Dreadful City of Angels (One of it's best role on TV).
happy 65th birthday nathan lane !!!
Brilliant Nathan!
He hadn't come out yet when this interview was made.
happy 63th birthday nathan lane !!!!
Thank you for the date! I was 14 when i taped this. :)
MouseHunt is an awesome movie, and he is cool in the movie. Good thing they didn't make a movie like that now, or it would've been a series. Seems like so many movie-makers are obsessed with making series instead of just movies. The movie is great by itself, when it was made. It doesn't need any help.
Flippin, Arkansas - that's hilarious! "Hey, I live in Flippin! Don't piss me off!"
This was from DECEMBER 16th 1997

He was good on Mousehunt, him and his friend trying to kill the mouse, but they didn't.
Why would anyone tell that story about the mice. I find with Tom he interrupts or hijacks the conversation. Is he interviewing himself or the guest.
Maybe it's just me, but the older I get, the less patience I have with talk show hosts who talk over their guests. I want to hear the guest, NOT the host!!!
Tom was a blowhard.
Even though Snyder was a corny simpleton, he was an entertaining interviewer for the most part.
Wish Nathan had a girlfriend or a wife!
Well, he has a husband
