I am writing this with tears rolling down my face. I just started my freshman year and I feel as though I am the dumbest human alive. I work so hard every day to get an A on my first exam but when you said "hard work does not equal an "A" but slacking off guarantees a low grade" it was a slap in the face. Even if I don't get an A I should be proud of how hard I have been working. So what If my first exam isn't an A, that just shows that there is room to improve. Thank you
The cute animations and flashcards just makes this video more wholesome 🥰 Love from Korea!
Thank you! ♥️☺️
Yeah im going in third year and these are really good advice!
1) Please notify your tutor/prof if no one is participating in your group projects (after attempting to contact them numerous times). Don't feel burdened by it.
2) Do reading before as much as you can because it really does help you
understand your lectures and class better and you already have notes so you won't really write as much during lecture
.
3) I still have hard time making friends 😅. I'm really shy but people in uni are really open to talk to most of the time and are just in the same boat. (You'll hear this a lot but it's so true!)
4) start working on assignments when you're been given it (little by little)
5) really take in your feedback and discuss with your peers and tutors! Helps so much especially with things you missed and gives another perspective.
6) I still write with a notebook! You can catch and understand a lot of content that way - well at least for me. I'm actually thinking of switching to an Ipad for dissertations because it might be easier! I was spooked when you talked about using an old asus laptop because thats what i was using loool 😂
Good luck!!!
Yes fully agreed!!! 😭👍🏻
I'm so happy that you're now blossoming into this beautiful, confident individual. Your videos had been solely study with me s (and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that), but you're spreading your wings now and I'm glad I get to witness that. All the love
Thank you so much 😭
@@GutsyStudyGirl Always!
You're so inspirational! You're only a couple years older than me but you seem so put together 💕💕💕I hope one day my channel can be as motivational as yours~
Thank you! 🙇🏻♀️
"something as so simple as do you want a seat" it really is that simple now that I think about it, I met my first friend in college first-year first day, who tutored me from the very first day of college and when I asked if I could tag along with him to the computer lab, I met his friends and they welcomed me to their group and it felt all warm and nice. I really enjoy your videos and thank you for the tips :)))
Ok this is unrelated but I love how this video shows so many parts of sg!!! I recognize everything and I love how you managed to work in the visuals of home along with your content. Thank you! :D
Thank youuu 😚
Starting next month into university this video has really helped me take some pressure of myself and made me more comfortable thinking of all the new people I'll get to know and the new things I'm about to learn. I'll try to remember your advices and just give it my best! ✩

thank you so much for this!! I wish i had seen this in march (in Chile the school year starts in March) bc i struggled with my first university semester ever online. But then i found your channel and i feel like i saved my last exams with your help. So, idk thank you so much, you showed me i can sit and study for long periods of time in this difficult situation
Wahh so glad to hear that!! 😭 oh mann I think the first sem of uni is alw hard enough w navigating friendships and adjusting to being independent, but starting uni during covid makes it even more difficult. Good job on still doing your best (hehehe hope the exams you did went well) and hang in there!!! 💪🏻
I love your videos so much!! One of my fav Singaporean study youtubers :)

Truly inspired by you!
I agree with no.3 so much. I slacked off way too much in my first year and received an academic probation lmao, but don't worry I'm slowly climbing back up :)
You’re very goood man!! Please do a day with me idea while you go to university
I love this. I wish I had it when I was still in uni. I remember first year was the most difficult and I spent so much time and hard work on a project. I spent the previous 36 hours before the due date tirelessly working on it, drank many energy drinks and burned myself right as I submitted it. Because I'd spent so much time awake, not taking care of my health, it would have been better had I spent less time on it and allowed myself to rest, because in the end despite my hard work I still got an F on the project. Another later project that was meant to be a group project, I had a freeloader I was working with and a much larger time frame. After weeks of attempting to try and meet her, sitting at the agreed place to meet for hours and having her never show up, left my messages on read, etc, I worked with my teacher a week before the due date to allow me to work on the project completely on my own. I took time to rest, time to have a break and sleep, and stringently planned my waking hours. That project I got the equivalent of an A+ and was messaged 24 hours before the due date by said freeloader saying she's looking forward to presenting with me. Thing was, she never looked at her student email where she'd been sent a number of emails from our tutor stating she was to present separately, and she never paid attention to my messages that said I was working alone. In the end she presented with my ideas to the class that I had put forward the day we formed a group, which she got praise for, but my sweet karma was even though she used my ideas, they weren't fleshed out and she failed miserably. I feel bad but at the same time, if you're going to be a shit human and freeload not even pretending to contribute then you deserve what you receive. The tutor knew about the taking my ideas, which I decided not to use out of respect for our group, and she received a grade reflecting it.
I feel this 😢 i’m very glad the tutor did take action and the freeloader did get a lower grade. Freeloaders are really not fun... :’-//
yay new videoo💕
Thank you! 🙆🏻♀️

Cute you made another video. Is this during the pandemic
Hehe yes, I filmed this recently (no longer in lockdown but people still wearing masks, haha!!)
@@GutsyStudyGirl oooo my we are having the worst lockdown in here. We live in India and we have crossed 10 million.
@@aliviaislam354 Oh man.... :"( that is really bad...
oh! you’re from Singapore? that accent :”)
yes!!! :D
Imma just curious but how many hours do you study everyday? Is it how much time you spend recording videos or more?? I hope you understand what I'm saying ♡´・ᴗ・`♡
yes!!! i get what you're saying!! it really depends on my workload each week. some weeks i don't have to study so much (more of doing grp work), other wks I'm preparing for tests and will be revising a lot more.
as for how much time i spend per day... i don't usually get the chance to study for long hours continuously, bc uni comes with co-curricular activities and i sometimes do part-time work on the side. so i usually study in short 1-2 hour blocks between lessons/activities!! it accumulates and really helps to get things done, so maybe at the end of the day i might have studied for a total of about 2-5 hours a day, depending on my schedule? there are lazy days too lol when i just study for an hour (or none lol).
hope this helps! :)
