  • Changing billing defaults in QuickBooks Online is needed if you want to decrease billable expenses when billing a client. The billing options, by default, are set to increase an income account when billing for reimbursable expenses. You must edit billing settings if you, instead, want to decrease the billable expense when billing a client. This will be instead of increasing the income the way the billing defaults are initially set to in the account settings window. After editing billing defaults, the expense account that was charged when purchased will decrease and it will increase the client’s balance. Attorneys using QuickBooks online will have to decide on a firm-by-firm basis, how they want to record billing clients for these expenses.
Soon this QuickBooks For Attorneys Course Will be Accredited For C.L.E. credits as well as C.P.E. Credits for accountants.

Hello my attorney friends!! This is an alternative to the default of how Q.B.O. records billing clients’ expenses. Instead of increasing an income account when you bill for reimbursable expenses, you can have QuickBooks Online decrease the original expense account that was charged when you purchase the product or service.
Soon this QuickBooks For Attorneys Course will be accredited for C.L.E. credits as well as C.P.E. Credits for accountants.

If a company doesn't use villable expenses then they should
You can't get by with making a journal entry every time you want to make a client responsible for a specific cost

@@Iheartfinance2 This is the bets way, it will have no effect on your likelyhood of being audited; I have no idea why you would say that.
