My heart is fluttering: I love me some paper ephemera!!! The center of the ashtray will hold either a matchbook OR a matchbox, pressed down so that the matches show on the open top of the box. I am somewhat upset that the cream & sugar are such different hues. Great chocolate tin! I use Liquid Gold on my tins. Test a tiny area as the white paint may not react well. I used to wrap the matches in tin foil to ship them. ( "Flamable? What flamables?") Fun sale...thank you for sharing your adventure.

Sweet story about Dake and his grandmother. Hope she enjoys every moment at sales with him. My grandson is 18 now but when he was 7 or 8, we used to go to antique stores to look for old NASCAR items. He loved old typewriters and was fascinated with a comptometer. The Atlanta Braves foam tomahawk brought back memories too. We lived in Greenville, SC and we had for a time the Greenville Braves, double AA for the Atlanta Braves. Many of the players came thru Greenville on their way to Atlanta. My daughter had an Atlanta Braves foam tomahawk. Doubt she still has it! Sweet Daisy - such a cute face!

Ephemera estate sale, my cup of tea got two full boxes of newspaper clippings old cards old letters and envelopes etc at the last estate sale for $3. Love to find those treasures. Toss Daisy a treat for me 🐶🐕

Wowza! The librarian in me was coming to the fore with the yearbooks, Polk directories (basement cabinet) and the church ephemera. All these items were much sought after by the library for the local history room. We would get constant calls from people wanting to look at yearbooks. Last year, my friend's church had a major anniversary and we were looking for all kinds of church history. It's not always archived well. I hope the church in this video has duplicates of the wonderful stuff you found. Kudos to the people who collected all this documentation, it was quite a collection. The hoosier in the side room was unexpected. My cats were very happy that you purchased a cat item! And they said to say hi to Daisy! And welcome to the hunt, Dake!

Hello Prime Time I have fond memories of going home from church with the family and counting the VW Beetles This would be early 80’s There were so many on the road It was a family tradition to count them

I no longer have an outlet for selling and I won't ship, but I still pick up stuff I can refurbish, upscycle or just flip locally. I am hoping to get a space at a local shop in the near future and will continue to work doing sets for an estate sale facilitator. I get to be one of the first to see an estate and I will dig for the good stuff.
Watched Herbie again a few years ago, tried to get my kids to watch it with me. They were not having it.
Love the ephemera stuff. I really like the old images, but i just can't let myself get into collecting it. Im nowhere near organized enough. I'd have papers strung from one end of the house to the other. I'll stick to finding it, enjoying it for a little while before it moves on to another home

I learned to drive when my dad had this dark green VW. Dad’s name was Herb! The car’s name was Achtung. My mom had that Harvest Gold Osterizer, too.

My favorite item was the Braves foam tomahawk. I lived in a very small town in Oregon growing up and the only tv channel we got was TBS out of Atlanta, so we watched many Braves games, but pre 1991.

nice find, the good stuff is always in plain sight, just takes the right eye to see it sometimes. I went to the third day of an estate sale and found a 1930's whos who in baseball book for $1 with over 60 autographs in it and we are talking players from the teens! sold it for 6 figures.

I did take the box....the one for $2. But not taking the first one because the dealer was literally charging $1 per item with no bulk rate. Very important in those situations to avoid the tempation to just grab it all.

Hi Dominic! 63.8K subscribers? When did all that happen? It was just 50,000!!!! My favorite item was the bread box - I thought it was so pretty. 2nd was the clock, it was beautiful! Some of the prices were definitely 'up there.' Even at 50% off on the final day I'd think they were high. At the very end, Daisy's little face was saying "Well Daddy, let me out!"
Some people are actually watching now, lol. Spring time is finally here and the snow is melting so Daisy and Gizmo will be reunited at last lol.

Wow, the Beach Boys lot was cool to see - any Brian Wilson fans have a guess as to who "David" is? Possibly David Marks, the original guitarist from the BB's?? Heard he lives in NY.. also interesting that Brian printed his name instead of doing his traditional signature. Makes me think "David" and Brian are on a first name personal basis. Or maybe it's just the "David Beard" as seen in the photo next to it - probably the case, but still makes you wonder how it ended up in NY. edt: read an article from the Charlotte Observer, pretty much explains that David Beard ran the magazine, became close friends with the Beach Boys & eventually produced them in the studio, so I think it's safe to say we have the right David lol.
