I love the beige interior. Better than boring black which is the default colour for modern cars. It’s like sitting in a coffin! Dark, dank and gloomy, especially in the winter!

My Old Car, It was a really nice car, the nine months I had it, I came to one of the meets in it. But I wanted another 75 again after I missing my beloved 75, I hope it goes to a good home.

    Its DD!
Now then', 'now then' and thrice 'now then ... ' it can only be Allegroman! This time sporting his superhero hi-viz jacket!
What a beautiful Alfie-blue Rover 45. I wonder, does Allegroman have his own dealer stickers? I think he should get some!
'What are we supposed to be doing?' 😄😁

I had a silver 400 saloon. I still remember the number plate. It’s R329PER. Great car!

I had three of the saloons. The last two had the 2 litre T series engine. The very last was an older car which had 1 owner and 30k miles out of a deceased's estate. It was probably only used for church and Tesco once a week. It was perceived as a grandad car at that time. It had lived by the coast but it was otherwise a time warp car, very clean, thoroughly reliable, well appointed and it went very well indeed - some might say surprisingly well. I miss the nobbles at 10 and 2 in the steering wheel rim. Age did catch up with it. I confess that it simply served its term with me. Among a crescendo of issues, it gave up its engine for a Freelander but I had three years and about 40,000 miles enjoyable, trouble free and cheap motoring out of it. Nice, under-appreciated cars. A cambelt did for my 1600 K series. It was anno domini for the others.

Were those 400s? Think the T series stopped before the 45

@@andyb3666 I'm drawing casual conclusions, when it comes to a facelift.
They were the bubble style as depicted with boot, 420? "R" and "P" reg as I recall. I lost the green "R" reg 416? to its K series cambelt, precisely as it was booked in for the job to be done. I was making assertive progress up a hill at the time and it made a pretty mess, with bits of broken valve flying around and ruptured cylinder sleeves.
Off the top of my head:-
      - There were the boxy Honda based 200 series, 213/216 VDP, Vitesse etc ( a progression of the Acclaim)
      - Then a square cornered 200/400 range saloon/hatchback, which bore the Tomcat style Coupe and a scarce Tourer version, which looked really rather good,
      - Then, what was commonly called the bubble style generation, (213/216/413/416/420?). The first facelift was designated 25/45 I believe and the final facelift of the latter provided that appalling slab shaped bootlid.
I have had and enjoyed cars out of all those series. A black 1988 216 Sprint with white wheel trims and go faster stripe served me very well over most of 100k miles, but the one I truly mourn is my wife's Tomcat style 1600 Coupe in dark blue metallic.

Lovely early 45 with my favourite 45 wheels. Perfect colour too, just a shame its a hatchback, for me they just don't look as nice as the saloon, not quite as shapely. Bargain waiting for someone though given its mileage and condition. Allegroman eh! Its like he's got dowsing rods to find cars!😊
