      @@atkpwrgaming Maybe next time you can cut to in-game footage illustrating the tactical concepts i.e. showing an AT gun positioned on the road of a town or on the edge of woods, then repositioning after firing. That's way more work to do lol, but I think it would take your vids to the next level. Am already spreading the word GG!

    Love the channel! I was overwhelmed by this game at first but am enjoying it so much more after watching your “how not to suck” series.
    One question - I bought the “Back to War” DLC but it appears to be only a unit pack - no Normandy maps or Historical battles which I was hoping for. How can I get my single player western front fix for SD2??

    • @atkpwrgaming
      @atkpwrgaming  Před rokem

      Unfortunately there isn’t much for western front. You’d have to go back to steel division Normandy 44 for that stuff. Sorry!

    I just started playing a few days ago and I was wondering, how do you deal with groups of medium tanks? Not necessarily the 50 tank blob but just 3 or 4 escorting infantries because more often than not these can take a hit from an AT gun even one of high caliber and fire back wiping the piece 'for free' and since stacking multiple AT guns next to each other is a recipe for arty or air offmaps I don't see how you're supposed to deal with those, especially since sending a tank buster plane or a dive bomber to kill one seems very expensive and can be deflected fairly easily with basic AA not to mention snipped by an enemy fighter. And since they are escorting infantries, the AT inf ambush is inda off the table. You 'could' bomb the group with arty but I find it even more expensive than planes since you have to physically protect your arty which withdraws units from the frontline, and tanks don't seem to die from it, merely taking suppression instead (which could help a tank counterpush but I try to avoid doing tank spam).

    • @atkpwrgaming
      @atkpwrgaming  Před 2 lety +2

      Honestly there are a lot of ways to deal. First, you should prevent that from happening by keeping them under pressure so they can’t. If they do, attack somewhere else. There must be a weakness if they have that many tanks in one place. Set up AT guns in ambush positions at choke points and let them come into the kill zone. You can also hit them with AT planes as well

      @@atkpwrgaming Sorry for the late reply, as I mentioned it's not the 50 tank blob but rather a small group like 3-4 that are supporting an infantry push with some mobile AA nearby.
      AT guns seems like the most efficient way to take them down but more often than not they get spotted by recon planes that retreat before any AA Elements can shoot them down.
      And once they are spotted, the tanks just switch to another front that has less AT.
      As I mentioned, since it isn't a massive tank push, most of the enemy's frontline is cohesive enough to hold until they arrive and trying for probing strikes in enemy territory puts my frontline units at risk (though I also try to use recon planes to scout ahead).
      Tank busters are definitely what I saw as being the 'best' choice for very fast tank picks but more often than not they get 1 or 2 tanks and then the opponent has enough ressources to build a solid AA force that covers the area where the tanks are especially if they have some mobile AA like ZSU M17 or a Sd.Kfz. 7/1 which are fast enough to move with the army.

    How do you know that the HE damage of 1,52 kills no soldier but 2.2 kills one or two? Does any individual soldier of a squad have a certain health?
    If yes - how much is it? My math is to bad to see why 1,52 damage kill no soldier but 2.2 kills 1 or 2 soldiers.

    • @atkpwrgaming
      @atkpwrgaming  Před 2 lety +3

      So honestly this is more of feel thing than a math thing. There isnt an exact math to it, because its impossible to factor in the RNG of misses and such. You will just start to notice a significant different in the killing power at those two levels. Sorry I cant back up what I said, its more from a lot of time seeing the different than anything concrete
