  • In today's video, we take a day trip to Terrebonne Oregon. First stop is the hike to Steelhead Falls which was lovely and very secluded. Steve made some great waterfall photography and shares some tips on how to photograph waterfalls. The next stop is Smith Rock State Park where we hike Misery Ridge and walk along the River Trail. The rock formations were awesome!

    I love the sequences with just the sound of feet crunching on the trail!

    Love the beautiful shots of eastern Oregon. My mom grew up in Redmond and a small town in eastern Washington. Most people don't realize there is high desert in large areas of the Pacific Northwest. It is so cold and dry there so much of the year that we used to tease her that we were shocked that she ever leaned how to swim! :D

      It's true that we all think of the Pacific Northwest as the shore....but there is so much more to both Oregon and Washington. Gorgeous country!

    Found your video because Smith Rock State Park was mentioned in a geology video, so I went searching... you guys probably already found this out, but in case you hadn't-- Smith Rock SP is actually part of an ancient caldera from a supervolcano. It was news to me, but super cool! They talk about it in a lecture called Supervolcanoes of the Pacific Northwest, here on CZcams. Might be a fun watch for you guys, since you've been there.
    Thanks for an awesome video and great views of the area. It's pretty!

    I would not have guessed that was Oregon!

      I know! It's a lot more diverse then we thought.

    Thanks for the photo tip, Steve. That was a pretty challenging looking hike. Is "switchie-backie" a real word? I think it should be. Lol

      It was a real word to us then haha. It was difficult!

    Looks like strip mined down to the rock. Nice hike. Wonder how it looked 4000 years ago?

    Ahhh, such beautiful scenery!!! My favorite scene was the mini waterfall area. I paused it and just stared at the picture while envisioning myself there. Great hikes, great views and am really enjoying watching your videos!

    Hi!! Are you aware that an individual by the name of Cornell Hendershot is sharing your videos on their channel?

      @19Photographer76 Před 7 lety

      He's actually changed the Copyright, not just a simple sharing. Unless it's another channel Steve has posted?

      Not familiar with the rules/terms of You tube - can he do that?

    • @19Photographer76

      Not legally. If the person has software to capture video then they can change the name to their channel.
