Going on a road trip soon. Going to be recording lots of driving footage. Trying to decide between the remote, the Volta or both. I DO like the convenience of just having the remote right on my wrist, but grabbing the Volta on the passenger seat wouldn't really be a hardship. Whatever means I don't have to touch my phone illegally while driving to use Quik. Either the remote or the Volta will be a lot cheaper than that cell phone ticket.

Well if you dont plan to use the remote more.often than that then perhaps volta is all u need ? U can recharge your camera and occassionally use a remote control with it
But if you plan to use the camera remotely often then the remote is really useful

We want to start doing fishing videos on our boat but we don't 1) want to have the camera "on" and 2) recording all the time. Would love it if we could just push record on the remote and fire up both the GoPros (I hear you can control up to 5 on one remote) or the only other consolation I could thing of is if the GoPro could be put in sleep mode (I forget if it has one) until we push record on the remote
I dont think it would, but does the remote turn them in as well or do you have to turn the cam on first

Hi. I love your review. I see that you have it mounted to a stick / handle bar. Which accessory did you use? I don't seem to be able to fine any, and it frustrates me. The old Smart Remote had a different quick release mount for poles, but this new one doesn't seem to come with one, nor available to purchase as accessory, unless you use the provided velcro, which is way too long for stick. Thanks

I think you made a mistake by saying you can turn the camera ON with the remote! As far as I know you CANNOT turn the camera on with it! Secondly you did not offer any suggestions how to attach the remote SECURELY to a handlebar! Even on youR video it is easily turning around when using the supplied wrist Velcro. There has to be a better solution to attach the remote securely to a handlebar!

Problemem jest oprogramowanie sprzętowe 2.00 dla pilota zdalnego sterowania The Remote. Po jego zainstalowaniu można jedynie zmieniać tryby nagrywania na Hero 9, ale nie można już ustawiać żadnych opcji.

But if you already in the action, want to take burst photo, save battery and record only when the sun is in the right moment not ruining your shot, or you dont wanna end up with 30 min footage with just few min good in it, or where you want to press record but the camera is too far a way and you ride a motorbike , drive a car , ski , paddle board then instead of stopping , reaching out for the camera etc.
