I would choose Ryoti because Under nij cultivation it is very difficult to find labor while in Ryot system, planter sometimes forces the village head on behalf of Ryot to sign the agreement to produce indigo. Under Ryot system planter give loan to Ryot to produce indigo, this is not applied in case of NIJ cultivation.

    1) Ryot - cultivation on Ryot land
    2) Mahal - village
    3) Nij - cultivation on planters land
    4 ) Ryoti - Peasants

  • @parimalarenganathan1159

If I am a planter of that time I'll choose ryoti system not nij because in nij cultivation I've to buy my own land or for rent and have to pay the labour and have to spend a lot on ploughs ..but in ryoti cultivation we have to spend a little money and the peasant will take care of that land and I don't have to buy my own land ......so I feel that ryoti system is far better than nij system for a planter

    3.cultivation on planter's land
    4.cultivation on ryot's land
Extra question :- I would choose nij system because it is better to control the land that you bought or rented instead of trusting someone else to grow indigo on their land, and even if a I chose ryoti system and saved money by buying indigo for low price, again the farmers will confront me about it.
