I would love to see you design a "bad apartment" that is still cute and funky. I used to be always broke living in shabby little apartments but I always found knicknacks at garage sales and free furniture on the side of the road and made them cute and colourful, so I'd love to see you do an apartment with that theme!

I swear when I got City living (years ago by now) I moved and changed the windows in the apartments! I remember putting in ultra modern ones in the older buildings and being like "ehh it doesn't matter that it doesn't match, cus it's MY apartment I do what I want!" 💁♀

You can move them around in the “Penthouse” apartments so maybe that’s what u guys are thinking of? definitely frustrating we can’t move them around for all the apartments ☹️ I’d also like it if they let us create our own apartment buildings!!
Love this video Deli. I put your build videos on before going to sleep as I find them very relaxing. Also, there's no reason to feel sad about wearing makeup. Not wearing makeup does not make one more confident or secure in looks than one who does. Some women enjoy making themselves feel good by dressing up and wearing makeup, others don't. All is great as long as the makeup or lack theorof is serving you.

It sucks that we can’t change the apartment doors and windows without the tool mod. It’s so frustrating because the existing apartments are horribly built. It would be nice if we could fully customize the buildings.

@@kirby_tardigrade Yes, you can change windows, not sure if change door it will remain functional. But you cant paint hall wallpaper for example.
@@augusto7681 doors can remain functional with tool mod. you just need to make sure they are in the right place.
The curtains from my wedding stories are actually really pretty too. I over use the ones from desert lux stuff too, and recently discovered the ones from the wedding pack and fell in love with them too. They snap together for layering too if you want to it’s great.
patiently waiting for the culpepper house apartment with the cute balcony, I think it could have lots of character and be good for a plant lover!

My firefighter father would say its a waste of smoke detectors to have one in every room, unless you live in a huge house or live in high-risk house, but rules probably change from country to country. 🤗

@@FrostInFreezerIt’s just over the top and not necessary. My fiancé is an electrician and the standards in our Australian state is something like one near the kitchen and one in the hallways leading to bedrooms. Most houses have the master at the front of the house kind of next to the front door, then a hallway leading down to the open plan kitchen/dining/family and then another hallway leading down to the rear bedrooms and rest of the house. We have two smoke alarms, one in the front hallway and one in the rear hallway.
Deli: There's not enough room for a bathtub, we dont want it to be too squished.
Me who regularly makes 3x2 bathrooms with bathtubs: Wut? 😅
I know you don't love to clutter for accessible reasons, but I am a maximalist and can't help but adore this build! Like just by your effort to appreciate all the little details that's what makes the sims so fun and inspiring! Especially in this economy when a house is so hard to acquire (I'm a clutter lover) xox
I keep telling myself I don't need any pack that's just objects, that's what CC is for. I don't need any more packs, period. But this apartment is beautiful and cozy and so well-designed (I was struggling with this exact apartment lot for ages last night) and I want to download it as is, exactly as you designed it, with all the little clutter touches... I can admire it anyway.
Edit: I always love putting two small desks or two basic dining tables in a study nook side by side to create two desk spaces (or one table if a laptop will sit there nicely) to create the idea that the two sims can sit and work at their homework side by side, even though someone is definitely going to do it at the kitchen table or on the floor anyway. Maybe it's because I know what sharing a room is like and trying to decide who gets the desk is not worth the fuss

Such a cute apartment! I love it! On the subject of makeup, I don't wear it at all. I used to, back in my twenties, when I went out with friends, but it's been years since I wore makeup. I have a friend that always needs to wear makeup and feels weird without it. To each their own I guess.

I don't wear makeup too. I have the opposite problem where I feel uncomfortable when I wear makeup, on the rare occasion that I have to wear makeup like performing on stage, etc. I just feel way more self-conscious. Also, when I wear makeup and then look at myself in the mirror, it feels very bizarre because I feel like the person staring back at me is not me, and I don't like this feeling. It's like very dissociative 😅
I feel that way with full make up, like if I get it professionally done it looks great but it looks like not me! I have been using way less make up lately like just cream blush and concealer and mascara and I love it, it reminds me of how people used to wear make up just to enhance what was there not to reshape the whole face!
we play board games as a family a lot. We love going to comic and gaming conventions and finding table top games too. My daughter is 7 and she really enjoys our family games nights!
So what about this idea:
Take one of the 'Needs TLC' apartment and make it purposely dirty and bad with bad appliances and furniture.
I always try to do something like that when i have a storyline going like "ran away from home and can only get the worst of the worst" or "Parents kicked out their Teen cuz they got pregnant/got someone pregnant" or "had a dirty divorce and their former partner got the old place and all the money" or "lost their job and had to move out of their nice house into something really bad and is trying to build up their new life from zero again" etc etc
I’m working on one of the apartments that has a working balcony. I find it very difficult to do when you try to work on it with the walls half up. I don’t want to see in the other blank apartments. 💕 your vids.

Being makeup free is so liberating! I use to wear makeup every day before I had kids/when Covid hit. And then I stopped wearing it. I only wear eyebrow gel and mascara. I tried to do my makeup a few months ago and it felt so weird and looked so unnatural on me. You can do it if you put your mind to it!
I guess the best place for a bad apartment would be the one where the Benali family lives since it's already... yeah, if you know you know.
Would be nice to see some future renovations in worlds like Evergreen Harbor, I rarely see that one in lps and such nowadays (or so it feels at least)

Deli, I used to work in a games store and board games got super popular again over the first lockdown and beyond. So their popularity is definitely not being phased out, at least here in England :D This is such a lovely, colourful build

I’m 29 and have been wearing make up since middle school. It wasn’t until COVID where I stopped wearing makeup. It was really hard for me, as you can relate. But after time I started to love my natural face. I believe you can get there too with some practice 💛🧡

Honestly it makes sense. In a lot of cities, they will renovate the outsides of the buildings/lobbies and just a few apartments so they look nice from the outside and for pictures online to sell/fill the apartments. But then once you get there, everything is outdated. I’ve Definitely see that here in Los Ángeles

I love what you said about make up and confidence. I think it can be a mix of both. Like I haven't worn any make up on my face since I went to a wedding in September of last year 😅 I like not wearing make up and going out without any on (just focusing on skin care) but sometimes I wonder how I'd feel if I put more effort into my appearance/how I present myself on a regular basis. Things to think about 🤗

I've be getting used to no make up. When i go to work i always wear make up, i feel like i have to look my best because im what people see when they come into the building i work at. But on weekends i never wear makeup, i give my skin a break and it honestly just feels good

It's interesting because I rarely wear makeup - I always feel so conscious when there is something on my face and I just can't seem to get used to it. But on the other hand, makeup can make me feel really confident? I only do it now on days where I want to feel confident (like my first day in my Master's or at a party), but I feel much more "me" when I don't wear makeup
And from how narrow this apartment is it sucks to renovate but I figured it out. I took out the one. Benjamin just made her a one better apartment when I’m renovated it for my kids I kept the shape and just give it new paint, doors, appliances, counters, floors, and everything.
Dragon Valley was from a Sims 3 store purchasable, I believe. It gave you miniature dragon pets to tame.

I also find the apartment floor plans so hard to change from the in-game ones 😭though I did do this apartment once and was able to fit a fair amount of things in by making the main bedroom a long rectangle at the back and putting a smaller bedroom right above it so there was a corridor for the doors, but I love what you did with it!! Super cute reno as always❤

I truly enjoyed this video! Watching your thought process on picking debug/love Edit options to clutter up the space has given me some ideas on how to furnish some of my own builds!
Also, I used to wear makeup when I was a teenager and now that I am older I don’t. I think I stopped wearing makeup when I was in my early 20’s and I’m almost 38! It breaks my face out and I would rather spend my money on stuff for my kids and on Sims stuff rather than stuff I’m going to wash right off my face and I find that I don’t get breakouts when I don’t wear makeup.

It wasn't until my last year of high school that I decided to stop wearing makeup every day. Honestly, I think making that choice early helped relieve my anxiety about feeling like I had to wear it! There's nothing wrong with wanting to doll yourself up, its only purpose is to help your confidence and enhance yourself (By that I mean, emphasize the beauty you already have.) You look gorgeous with and without it though!

The shelf that came with the greenhouse kit will lift almost any item up to whatever level you'd like it, i.e, the top of the fridge. Even if nothing else seems interesting, the shelf that will lift decor to any height makes that kit worthwhile.
I'd love to see you renovate jesmender and Arun's apartment. they're always expecting a baby and they only have one bedroom.

I only wear lip gloss now and no other makeup but Im much older than you. I used to wear alot of make-up when I was younger because I enjoyed it. I think its fine to do either as long as you feel ok about it. Would love to see you try a gross Dr gluon style apartment build. Using the basement kit.❤
I hardly ever wear make up. Like only for some special events and often even then I don’t wear it. I just don’t like that I can’t touch my face as I like out of fear for messing it up and it’s such a drag to take it off before going to bed.

I’m someone who feels uncomfortable being in public without makeup but since the pandemic I just use my mask to hide my face. I still wear a mask btw😂

I don't wear makeup. I work in a hot kitchen. It would melt right off. Besides I wake up really early in the morning and any extra sleep is needed.
That's my favorite apartment, at least at the beginning, for that kind of playthrough.
I used to wear mascara everyday, but the pandemic really stopped that. A good thing about it is that it made me more comfortable in my own skin so I no longer wear make up, or jeans everyday instead opting for clothes that are more comfortable and I have my hair up usually instead of straightening or curling it...

Yeah, we used to be able to edit outside walls, but it glitched out when the neighborhood would change, so it was taken away. Maybe it was a glitch that it let us.
