Even though it's not canon, this is the best villain couple I've seen. They complement each other super well. Adam's a dick for sure, but Lute actually fires back which makes him the only woman he actually takes seriously.

He fought the literal king of hell let’s not act like he wouldn’t try to kill Mamo as soon as he gets the chance he’s going to try to blow the spider creature to bits. It’s literally what he does for entertainment.
Part of why I like Adam as a villian is I almost feel like villians being relatable or villians you are supposed to pity is becoming an overdone trope.
A villian who abuses the shit out of his power, is funny and chaotic as hell, and does stupid shit for no reason other than he can is kinda nice. Adam is a guy you want to see lose, which he is supposed to be as the villian.
Yes, over time, what used to be considered classic or cliche has become innovative... In general, it's hard to say why so many people likes Adam. After all, he is very similar to Stella in his essence (a villain who is evil because he is a villain), I'm sure Adam was not even thought by the creators of the show as a character that anyone would like.
