2023 Armoy Race of Legends Race Day - Raynet Operator's point of view

- The last motorcycle road race in Ireland for 2023 is the Race of Legends held in the County Antrim village of Armoy in Northern Ireland. It is held on 28th and 29th July 2023. This video relates to the race day held on Saturday 29th July 2023. It is from a Raynet amateur radio operator's point of view as this is my role in the organisation of the race.
RAYNET-UK is a national body of Radio Amateurs who are pledged to provide communications in times of emergency. For me it is a really involving and interesting thing to do. If you have your amateur radio license look it up via an internet search. If you do not have an amateur radio license look for your nearest amateur radio club and they will point you in the direction of the correct training to obtain your license.
This is one of the most dangerous and scary sports.. no matter what it takes being in with this... they were all brave.. I've never seen a motorbike racing in real.. I might go run and go home lol.. sure I will have a heart attack Gary lol.. By the way., you are smart being a radio operator.. Congrats,..you did it very well.. Regards
It is definitely dangerous but that's what makes it even more exciting. The radio operator gets me involved in this sport....safely. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Racing in the rain? Scary
Thankfully no-one was injured in the wet weather but I do agree it is scary.

@@me19276 I believe so. Thankfully that seemed to be the most serious injury in what is a very dangerous sport.
in my personal opinion it was far too sketchy to put those superbikes out on the road, the track looked soaking wet, I even left early because i thought they were going to cancel the race of legends due to the drack being drenched, so glad no one was hurt.
I totally agree that superbikes are scary in wet conditions. It was drying quite a bit for the race of legends but I would not like to be riding in it. It is a blessing that no major incidents happened during the event. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave comment.
