As a remix, it can only sound so different since it ultimately uses the original as a stepping stool. Consider the improvements to art and cinematography, editing, vocals/audio quality, and not to mention and entire extension of the song thanks to collaborators.
So it's not that your critique is wrong, but it is harder to back up since the majority agrees this is a very good production by TLT.
No way we actually just got a remake/remix of this banger. After the memes, after the rage, after the game got worse, we finally have something GOOD from it.

Holy mercy! Everybody really brought their best for this track! Like damn, Mr. Dan Bull just did that verse flawlessly, I'm really impressed. Loved the ending stanza of his verse, such a nice tie in, into the chorus. Wow, I'm stunned with how this turned out. Tombstone on their way to the top!
