Renato Bruson is a great singer and Macbeth, but in this particular aria I always find that he is too grandiose and displays the loud power of his voice too much, whereas it is all about regrets. Compare this to Thomas Hampson's Macbeth! There it is much more about the actual Macbeth, a man who lost everything, more true to the role. Who is the conductor here, it is very good!
