Why hold your finger to open a link in Safari when you can tap with two fingers to open it directly in the background? ;) I admit though, it takes a while to master when hyperlinks are tiny. The little “tab” button will shake once the link is opened in the background as a little visual aid.

For text replacements I just use letters of the word or phrases without vowels...mostly 3-4 letters. Example. My name has shortcut of nm. My home address has shortcut of hm. My gmail account has shortcut of gml. My iphone number has shortcut of phn. By using only consonant letters, I avoid going to numbers and signs in keyboard. And I also avoid forgetting the shortcut, and avoid getting text replacement suggestions when Im typing real words.

I’ve created mine on the Mac but you can create one on the phone as well. It all happens from the signature menu
1:01 easy for Guitar players....difficult for fat fingers (from experience :) )

I find them easier to use than the alternative
