  • In my opinion the best laser image preparation software out there. Process your image for any type of substrate from wood, acrylic, slate, cork, leather, glass just to name a few. With the new algorythms implemented the program is very easy to use.

      I saw a vid on using a sharpie to color or paint the glass to etch on it. I had no glass so I used a white ceramic tile. The results were not what I was looking for, but turned out to be better. The tile was not etched, but it "appeared" that the sharpie ink melted into the pores of the tile. After cleaning it I was amazed at the results.

    A question, I purchased my laser (ortur 20w) on gearsbest and its going to get here who knows when, but ive been doing A LOT of research....what would happen if lets say I physically have a wood piece under the laser and select the leather feature for the file? Im assuming that it wouldnt come out as clean as the preview because when you select the material it adjusts the power and speed for you? or am i wrong

    • @lailapachkov8006
      @lailapachkov8006 Před 3 lety

      It depends on what combination you're using but you either get a very burned image or one that is not there at all. Nothing bad will happen :) sometimes the leather settings could work better for your type of wood. Just watch the first few seconds of engraving and you will see if the settings work out and if so, then great. If not, change them

    so a few questions for you. my machine is a glowforge plus. i would like to laser engrave some photos. i purchased the imag-r software. the version is 1.0.2. what can you tell me that would make my photos come out well. im using medium draftboard at the moment. i have figured out to a certain degree the imag-r software but not totally sure how to use some of it. by that i mean the advanced tab on the bottom. when watching the video that you have posted above my software doesn't look like that. maybe i have an updated version? when i select the different material tabs the picture definitely doesn't come out looking better than the original. hoping to hear from you and by the way your video is thumbs up. i just wish my photos came out that good!!!
