I don’t exactly know why I guess, but it’s not exclusive to the Wii U eshop I guess, like you’ll see that walking through the cities of Japan pretty much. But some games in the Eshop are also just games that are from overseas and have been localized for Japanese but use the same English title. People over there in Japan can usually read the simple English words anyways so it works out like in titles and stuff

I bought a Japanese Wii U specifically to play Just Dance Yokai Watch and Yakuza 1 & 2 Remasters. Was lucky enough to randomly find one locally! Wasn't even aware of this second d channel. It's everything I never knew I needed.
Honestly, I expected the Wii U eShop to be more abandoned (especially in Japan since the vast majority have already migrated to Switch there), it is MUCH better than the state you find in other stores like the PS3 for example.
Oh, family party 30 great games was part of the simple2000 series. Volume 1 on Wii U. Im guessing the only one for Wii U. That was a very big line in Japan for budget games, there was a lot on PS2. It's kinda neat, there's some good things under the label, but also a lot of mediocre/bad stuff.
Dude... I dig it. This Japanese Wii U content is oddly entertaining. I agree about the white handheld part. The black shows everything. I have had my Wii U for less than a year and it has become my family's most used console... granted I did jail break it so I could play all of our GameCube games on it as well. Now we have 3 generations of our most family playable games in the living room. Of course it means the "normal" people in my family come down to my awesome retro game room much less. They do play more games now though so we will call it a win.
That one game you said looks like Power Rangers is actually very close; it's a Kamen Rider game, a Japanese tokusatsu series that is a sibling series to fellow tokusatsu series, Super Sentai, which is the series that gets adapted into Power Rangers. There are actually a few modern games that have full English localization for SEA territories, which is kind of neat, since they've only started bringing Kamen Rider to the west in a major way in the past two or three years. Maybe if you're ever come to a convention I attend, I'll give you a copy of one of those games.

Oh, family party 30 great games was part of the simple2000 series. Volume 1 on Wii U. Im guessing the only one for Wii U. That was a very big line in Japan for budget games, there was a lot on PS2. It's kinda neat, there's some good things under the label, but also a lot of mediocre/bad stuff.
The perfect sequel exists.

I have had my Wii U for less than a year and it has become my family's most used console... granted I did jail break it so I could play all of our GameCube games on it as well. Now we have 3 generations of our most family playable games in the living room. Of course it means the "normal" people in my family come down to my awesome retro game room much less. They do play more games now though so we will call it a win.

That one game you said looks like Power Rangers is actually very close; it's a Kamen Rider game, a Japanese tokusatsu series that is a sibling series to fellow tokusatsu series, Super Sentai, which is the series that gets adapted into Power Rangers. There are actually a few modern games that have full English localization for SEA territories, which is kind of neat, since they've only started bringing Kamen Rider to the west in a major way in the past two or three years. Maybe if you're ever come to a convention I attend, I'll give you a copy of one of those games.
