Ahh yes. “Hero.” The #1 HIGHEST RATED Television episode of ALL TIME in IMBD. Even now it’s still currently Top 2 having next to it an “episode” from Season 4.
@@sauravdasgupta2686 it’s s definitely assault, or maybe “the wxxx hxxx titan”
Actually it's episode 7 from AOT final season and personally my favourite episode from the series and the best episode in AOT imo. Better than hero
"I'm not losing. Because I don't run." 😭
Moblit is such an underrated character..his loyalty to hange🔥🔥
He was such a fucking legend. No time to think so he just saved Hange to the cost of his own life. Fucking hero.
Yeah I didn't notice until I re watched aot that moblit has more scenes than i remembered. Almost most of the scenes with hange.
I think it's interesting that it wasn't Eren or Mikasa that convinced Levi to bring Armin back, It was Floch (red hair guy). He accidentally made Levi realize that Erwin had become a "devil" that would stop at nothing to defeat the titans, and that he needed to rest after fighting for so long.
And that everyone has to be drunk on something to keep pushin (kennys words) and Erwin dont know what he will do after reaching the basement
I feel like there’s so many possible motives for Levi’s decision here. One person could say he did it primarily to let Erwin rest. Another could say he did it because Armin still had a dream that would carry him forward even after the basement. Some say it’s because Erwin “rejected” the injection, whether consciously or not. Personally I think at least some of his decision was influenced by seeing the trio sitting together talking about their dreams on the steps before they left for the mission. I think he was reminded of his friends from the underground who had a similar talk before they both were killed, and he felt that even though he could never bring his friends back he could at least keep Eren and Mikasa from having to lose their closest friend too.
It all comes back to what Armin saw in Erwin all the way back is season 1, where Erwin started shedding his humanity to beat the titans. Stohess for example.
that's one of the reasons,
the bigger part goes back to when levi joined erwin in the beginning at the end of levi's first mission, he starts regretting his decision to trust his comrades as they ended up dying
erwin told not to, as that regret will dull his future decisions until you'll let others make your decisions for you, after that all you'd have left is to die
this is a total contrast to their final talk, when erwin is doubting his plan so that he could go to the basement, that's why levi said that he will make the decision for him, recalling what erwin told him before
@@dominikstute5810 Erwin not knowing what to do after getting to the basement had nothing to do with Levi making his decision. You misinterpreted that...
7:29 Marlo thought Hitch was probably sleeping but she's awake and waiting for him to come back :(
The argument that Floch made is the same one armin gave to eren in season 1: They can't hope to beat the titans if they aren't prepared to throw away their humanity, that's what the whole "devil" thing is all about, Erwin was ready to kill all the newbies and himself to take down the beast titan.
They say before we die, our memories gonna flash in front of our eyes. Bertholdt, before he died, smiled at Eren and friends and saw them as a glimmer of hope, thus he called them for help.
In other words, during Bertholdt life, he really considered them as his friends. Before reality punch him back and the he screamed for Annie and Reiner instead.
Yeah Bert can fuk off , traitor is a traitor even if he thought of them as comrades.
@@nahbro826 Definitely agree, apart from calling him a traitor. The Warriors were always spies and infiltrators playing a part. They aren’t traitors since they were never on that side to begin with.
@@brandonwilliams4050 jeez I didn't even think of that. Yep man they shouldn't be called Traitors.
@@nahbro826 dude they were children brought up in a brainwashed society that paralleled nazi Germany lol. It’s all been spelled out for you. Their parents and family had been given a better opportunity/spared BECAUSE they agreed to be warriors and destroy the walls. So unfair to blame them. Bert carried that guilt with him until the end. Fuck anyone who can look at them and say “fuck Reiner or Bert.”
Annie is the only one I can maybe understand as she demonstrated sociopath like tendencies by torturing bugs before ever being seen to enjoy killing scouts in Titan form. But Bert and Reiner? They never stood a chance thanks to the system they were born to and you can’t blame them.
@@nickholcomb2220 it doesn't matter if bert carries his guilt with him, coz anyways he gonna kill the Paradis inhabitants. Doesn't matter even if he considered them as comrades coz he's gonna kill them ANYWAY. Brainwashed or no this is about survival.
"is someone finally coming to the rescue"
Even after everything you have been through with this show, your still capable of optimism. You're the real hero here teddy
" Isayama was brutal "
- Always has been, and always will be ..
Great video again, much love 🖤
More brutalities is coming in final season part 2 🖤
although i am an manga reader, but watching it in anime will surely bring tears to many.
"Isayama was brutal" oh you have no idea hahaha
"the only one who can lay waste to titans is a devil" floch saying devil while the frame stops at Eren is phenomenal forshadwing. every time I rewatch this masterpiece I figure out something new wooow.
Erwin has become a “devil,” someone ruthless. Who admits himself to have built his career on the corpses of his friends. Floch hated him for this, but had an epiphany after the charge, and now considers such a trait necessary for humanity’s victory.
and because of that, He is now so loyal to "new devil". What character development

levi hearing erwin's plan from erwin himself and levi hearing the trio's conversation on the stairs means so much more now.
These episodes are very emotional, no matter how many times I watch them!
Armin the most peacefull person converted in the most destructive weapon...
Few people know, but when episode 17 came out, the Japanese community tore up all the forums and comments, this episode gained the most views and was recognized as the best for some period of time
I’ve seen this episode a million times and EVERY SINGLE TIME I cry.
Poor Bertholdt as much as he wanted to stop all this fighting he just couldn’t and had to finish it yet he died in a sad way and all he’s life he spend fighting and in the walls he had some fun moments than outside the walls
LMAO your tears and pain pleases me. You earned my like and sub. Lol.
Floch is basically saying erwin is a shameless killer who will throw away any number of lives in the name aof victory. He isn't wrong Erwin is completely ruthless, hence he is a Devil and one theme of the show is that you have to be a devil to win
As per Kenny's theory, erwin was drunk on the thought of reaching the basement and getting to know the truth hidden there. If he had reached it, then there was the possibility that he may cease to be the person he used to be and stopped moving forward. But armin was drunk on the thought of reaching the outside world(a better long term, bigger goal), which is actually better for the future. After thinking through this rationally, levi made his own decision without taking an emotional decision. And his motto is never to regret a decision. RESPECT 👍👍
12:01 The way that your eyes light up through the tears and your head aligns with Conny's head movement... it just kinda makes for a wonderful moment. Thanks for sharing it!
Your reaction was sooo genuine and appreciated. We all felt the same when we watched this. Erwin was burdened by guilt for lives he had sacrificed for his dream, and when Levi said given up on your dream, he was relieved. He deserved to finally be free from that guilt.
It's crazy because perfect game, hero, and midnight sun are my top 3. They're so emotional. If I don't cry in any of these episodes, I know something is wrong with me. The music.
Love your reaction. First you are smart you understand things very well, better than many other reactors. Second you really feel that show deep ! It's really a pleasure to watch your videos !
This is my new go to channel for the last few days. Watched all the aot and now I'm here. Such a hurtful episode. The ost with Armin going into the distance.
Yup, one of the most emotional eps on my opinion
those two episodes are still one of the best media I have ever seen
You know, we won’t mind if you kept going for another 10-30 minutes talking about what’s in your head. Almost every reactor is doing it lol, let’s hear your thoughts please ESPECIALLY in season 4 we wanna hear it.
I keep coming back to this video many many times
Goosebumps all over the place and your reaction is just AMAZING
Midnight Sun is one of the most beautiful episodes in this whole series despite the subject matter. Isayama really delved into the human condition and social cognitive theory through his characters, y'know as much as you can in anime. Also welcome to the Armin vs. Erwin debate that you'll be seeing a lot of that now as it will never die LMAO.
I'm so happy I found you! I hope you read this cause I wanted to say thank you for reacting to my favourite show of all time in such a profound way with all of those beautiful feelings you have. You make me cry with your tears and I wish I could give you a hug...
You are such a sweet and genuine girl and also I love your hair!
Armin was really the MVP of this part
Every one is a Badass in their own way but clutching came from Erwin, Levi, Eren, Armin and Hange
I can't believe we're so close to THAT DAY
There's a reason why 17 and 18 are amongst the best-rated tv shows ever. GOAT's
Usually I'm fine rewatching these episodes but man... watching you feel all the feels, it made me feel all the feels again.
That might just be one of the best reactions to these episodes I have ever watched. Breathtaking. The episodes themselves are insanely good, I've never quite seen anything like it.
Already waiting for season 4 reactions.
And shoutout to Moblit. That is a real supportive character
damn u rlly got the best upload schedule, editing, and reactions keep it up !
Purple flowers express sincerity, love, and bliss in the Japanese culture . They were used as symbolism too in To Your Eternity during Gugu's Arc
I really don't get it when ppl call Levi vs Beast titan as a fight. It was one side annihilation
Your reactions are so normal , so real..
They are priceless 👍🏻❤️
The Levi vs. the Beast Titan fight took 4 months to create, 1 whole month was for storyboarding alone - credit to Totally Not Mark's incredible AoT review for bringing that to light!
You made the logical reaction , people needs to understand both sides . Armin and Erwin , everyone wanted Armin to be saved but Erwin was important too
The way I saw it is that Armin was a high risk in the sense I felt in the long run he would offer more than Erwin would, but that in the short-term Erwin's skills would be better. Since almost allof the scouts were now gone and would have to start recruiting and training again, I thought Armin would be better. Erwin is still a HUGE loss, though.
From the perspective of future plot development, without erwin, the investigative corps has been scattered.
After 100 times I'm watched this episode,I'm still crying here.. Great reactions to this ,let me know that I'm not the only one feel like this👍
If you think about it Erwin wish was a damp and hidden basement. Armin's was an open sea. Its an interesting metaphore.
best reaction i have ever seen
''Isayama is brutal'' she doesnt know pepelaugh
After so may rewatches, it just clicked with me that Midnight Sun is probably the only episode wherein the show spells out to you all the foreshadowing that led to Levi's decision to save Armin. It's a nice touch.
Also, good catch on noticing the Hero episode title the moment Admin mentioned the word. Very sharp! Yet another great reaction.
How is it foreshadowing if it’s literally just walking you through everything lol
It's foreshadowing because those flashbacks were actual events that took place BEFORE the decision to save Armin was made. Who could have possibly predicted that what Kenny said about people needing to be drunk on something to keep fighting, Armin talking about seeing the sea, and Erwin's hints of regret before Perfect Game could have culminated in the decision in Midnight Sun? They walk you through it DURING the decision making process, but all those events BEFORE it. have foreshadowed the decision that was made.
@@thespianmask8451 no one could have predicted that because none of that would suggest anything close to what ended up happening. That’s just a story building on itself and establishing character motives
Floch is talking about how Erwin was willing to kill the entire survey corps including himself if it meant the few soldiers that remained would be able to claim victory. He’s arguing that they need someone willing to go to that extreme in order to defeat the enemies they’re up against. Ironically, it’s actually the same line of logic that Armin uses a lot:
“To defeat a monster, you must be willing to throw aside your humanity and all that makes you human”
“A person who cannot sacrifice everything, cannot change anything”
Floch realized this himself and saw Erwin as someone capable of doing that. What he doesn’t know (mostly because he just doesn’t know Armin), is that Armin agrees with that philosophy and is also capable of doing it.
Notice how episode 18 has no soundtrack except for final scene beautiful. This is the best segment of the entire series for me so far. Sidenote the voice acting to for Eren and Mikasa this time too omg so good they gave everything for it
I absolutely love your reaction, you connect the dots so fast.
Watching your reaction made me cry again, damn..by far my favourite sequence of episodes in Aot
The voice acting in ep16 ,17 and 18 is just amazing
"...these 2 episodes? I'll never watch them again."
*me who watched countless reaction channels to this series* yeaaah, raaytt.
LOVE YOUR REACTIONS !!!! ❤
In this episode i always cry when i see titan Armin. There is so much tension building up during the episode that it a relief cry
You can cry when you watch this , your heart is beautiful!
The best reaction ever. Natural absolutely 🤌🏻
In a way, Erwin has always been stuck in the past, pretty much ever since his naive ramblings as a young child lead to his father's death. Meanwhile, Armin was always looking towards the future.
It's so well physically represented, too-Erwin wants to go *down* into the dark, damp hole in the ground. He's ashamed to admit it to Levi. Even as he's dying, his head is in the past, racked with guilt for asking the question that got his father-and eventually so many of his comrades-killed. Armin wants to go forward, out, *past* the walls and to the huge world outside of them. He tells his friends this with wonder and joy in his voice. When *he* is dying, he isn't thinking about how he was tempted to abandon the mission and seek out his own dream-he fully entrusted it to Eren.
The choice is just so obvious from a storytelling and literary perspective! It's crazy to me that so many people even think it's a real debate.
Cool! I share birthday with Armin. November 3rd, and it's also freaking accurate regarding the personality test 😂
The episodes 16-18 are just something else.
9:14 LMAOOOO nahhh your reaction 😭 “oh no”
反応見てて良い人そうだなって思う。もうすぐこの世界の謎とかについて分かるから反応が楽しみ。
Aaaaaaaa seeing you cry made me cry as well, i forgot how sad these episodes were.
This is kinda random but I love your make up, it's so pretty.
Cheers to finally watching IMDB's former #1 episode for a year++ ! I felt that "Isayama is brutal" when you stopped the episode Teddy lol. Also I knew I needed this reaction 10x more cause in the episodes where Armin showed his intelligence you kept saying he keeps on impressing you, so this is the most awaited reaction for me lol. And finally someone who listened to what Floch said! It may not be understandable at first but you get it anyway later in the episode. Yep, I felt all those tears man, pretty much like how I watched it the first time :') also the episode didn't have any intro did u catch it :>
This is the best reaction to these 2 episodes that I've seen. Can't wait for season 4!
Whow i love this reaction , i was crying with u every time
15:10 laugh about it? Here I'm still watering up with you even after probably 50th watch 😭😭
Same 😭😭 I actually finished the manga but I still water up when I re-watch these scenes
Imagine when she finally get to season 4...
Wow...she'll reach a whole another level of sadness and depression....
Btw, when you have time... Remember the scene in season 2 where they were stuck in the tower and Ymir transformed into a Titan for the first time to save them?
It's episode 30 I believe (episode name: Historia). Around 17 minutes in the episode (when the tower starts falling) there's a frame where you can see berthold READY to bite his hand to transform.
Talk about foreshadowing...
@@Tderesse To give you a short answer: Let's go back in time. Remember when Eren couldn't really control his titan power and he would transform in the most random moments? e.g to block the cannon ball (only the upper half part of his body and the arm to block it) and later on when he was training with Hange, only a hand to pick up a spoon appeared. Also, do you remember the first time the Colossal Titan showed up? There was nuke-like explosion back then.
Basically, the person can kind of control the extent of the transformation based on what intent they have at the moment.
another great foreshadowing in this episode is when Floch said "Devil" the camera pan to Eren lol
When I saw you cry, the feeling passed on me also so I cried too 🥲 (this is the 6th time I've seen Armin die and I cried in every one of 'em)
The next few episodes are HUGE. Looking forward to your reactions.
Ultimate masterminds armin and erwin
Ultimate soldiers carrying out the plan eren and levi🔥🔥🔥
You are one of my favourite reactors!
Love u Teddy! i love all your reactions! you're the best!
Isayama is brutal she says ... that sounds about right
RIP Commander Erwin Smith 😭.
I can’t help but laugh seeing the distraught in your reaction because at the same time. I’m just as distraught
Pain: The Anime. When you realize there's still another 30+ episodes. lol
Even when you know how it goes, Armin holding out against Bertholdt is emotional enough to get tears to well up, no matter how many times you see it.
ive seen this 100 of times, but I still cried with u.
That scene wich Eren and the other guys are pulling Armin away from his titan is so strong. I've watched it so many times, but it still so emotional
Hey Teddy on of the best reactin i ve ever seen in AOT. i feel the same as u these episodes
26:18 plot twist: It was Armin the masterminds plan all along to get burned alive as a hero, receive the syringe afterwards and get revived with the power of the Titans to receive abs like a greek god to impress the ladys.
there is more context for erwin being referred to as a devil because of how some of his plans are insanely risky but still ultimately for the sake of his goal where even levi has questioned him and the military, unfortunately prior to this moment in the story a lot dialog on this matter didn't make it to the anime
Great reaction, i cried with you. 😭
Holy hell, I just learned I had the same birthday as you and Jean. Was not expecting that cause April 7th is a weird date. Also, Jackie Chan as well, which is cool.
150766th time I've watched this and yep, still cried. Rough to explain why the boss was crying when I get off my lunch break.
I hope you understood what floch said , that was the ultimate thing that help Levi decide, and what Kenny said, is similar what Armin said in season 1, you have to be a monster to defeat the monsters something like that, love your reactions, you should have Patreon people will pay for your early reactions, definitely
Nah cause imma cry regardless. Thought I'd be indifferent to seeing this again but no it's still in an emotional thing to process
what a delightful reaction, loved it.
Glad I finally found someone else who cries at this show 😅 I've been watching many reactors to AOT and none of them even teared up and I was starting to think I'm just way too attached to characters
Oh yeah. That wasn't Sasha's theme playing when Armin was waking up Eren. Sasha's theme is her own version of "Counterattack Mankind". The one that played in episode 17 season 3 is called "Eren the C" or "Eren the Coordinate". It's the same song played when Bertolt was having his tearful monologue in Season 2 Episode 11 when he was talking to his Scout friends on top of the Armored Titan.
To make things extra sad, all those scenes? Pyxis, Zachary and some officers waiting for news? Historia waiting at a farm? Hitch staying awake with a purple flower? Those were happening as Armin was speaking to Eren. Hitch was wide awake, waiting for Marlo's return, but Marlo was thinking that Hitch must be fast asleep. It's a very subtle hint at a one-sided love from Hitch for Marlo.
You’re very smart and cerebral in your reactions to AOT so it makes sense you’re like Jean
I love ur réaction a had the same the fist watch and every Time i rewatch this Arc
“I’m not watching this 2 episode again” and here I am watching people react to this episodes and still making me tear up
YEP, same here. We must be gluttons for punishment or something, these 2 eps always hurt my heart :(
Same
same
I really like seeing people react to these two episodes. I cried the first time I watched it. I now watch every reaction to these episodes that I can find, to see how many cry like I did. Also, I believe crying is one of the harder reactions to fake, so when I see people crying about things in reaction videos, I can tell that they are most likely genuine. Actually, I watch reactions of my favourite episodes or movies for a similar reason, and that's to see people get hyped about the same scenes that I got hyped about, or laughed at the same scenes I laughed at. I mainly turn to reaction videos because I've experienced the disappointment of directly showing something I found really entertaining to a friend or family member, only for them to not care at all, too many times.
And then I see this comment, and it makes me smile while I'm crying at the same time
