The Makarov pistol is based on the Walther PP/ PPK design with the fixed barrel, but has a better disassembly then the P230, you just pull the trigger guard down and to the side. You can't forget to put it back in place, if the spring is good is a very reliable and accurate gun. The CZ 82/83 is very similar, double stack 12 rounds in 9x18 or 380 ACP, awesome gun, if you get your hands on one, you will appreicate it.
To confirm, the recoil spring you replaced is the factory standard 15lb? I am having the exact same problem and they can be purchased on EBay. There are other lb options you can get but it appears you got the factory standard 15lb. I will try this first to see if it solves the problem but I understand he replaced the magazine Springs as well.
Great video. I have a P230 SL. I replaced the recoil spring too. It shots great. However, I can't find a mag replacement spring anywhere. The company you mentioned and Wolff Gun Springs no longer have them. If you know of some other source please let me know. Thanks.
