So I find it funny the route you took, which you stated took 2.5 hours to get to the Little Smoky Rd. If you would have taken hwy 40 to the FTR then the Smoky which starts at 14 and spits you onto the Rooster at km 46.5, then its only 2.5kms to the Little Smoky - a 1.5 hour drive and 2/3 of it paved. The gas plant I operate is at 45 on the Smoky, or literally 4kms from where you were parked watching the trucks try and wheel the corner onto the Rooster.
im thinking road agreements, plus we were going to marsh, less provincial roads the better, we can bend the rules a bit when we stay off road, i do end up going the other way in upcoming video
Ahhh memories of hauling drilling mud out of Blackfalds Alberta covering all of Alberta and north on Alaska Hyw north and west of Ft Nelson and south eastern Saskatchewan from a 1989 till 2006,most with R.Robinson Transport and what ever they are called nowadays, safe travels driver
Great video. I enjoy watching the different routes you take to locations. Im an Albertan trucker as well, so it's cool seeing roads that im familiar with and some new ones i have never been to or heard of. Im guessing that the gate on the Anc road is closed and you have to be on a road agreement to go thru? I have heard of that apparent short cut, but i have never had to use it before.
i seen other guys going the other way since some stuff was returning to whitecourt. i probably could have too, but then you have to go by the scales and its basically the same distance
its a bit of a drive, it wasn't too rough, the swamp mat part had a few cliffhangers that unloaded all the pockets even at 20 kph. only the cut line was choppy, and 10 kms of the main road (polecat)
well i noticed it was still leaking when i went to leave, 5 pm they were going home, he tossed some other clamps on and helped out, i failed to notice the manifold which was discovered later that night, i seen and felt the leaks around the pass step and figured that was it, im to blame
Wow deffo out in the sticks, hell fire how many o them mats them used there lots o work just forthem alone..I used to hate that, the silent squeek or rattle, you can never quite find..Dont you carry a socket set for the small niggley jobs like that..Good vid an great content..Hey hey lets becarefull out there..😉😉

I’ve been out that way lol way better for the spine then the willow haha
all the roads were in pretty good shape, jim clark to berland was a bit choppy but only since lack of traffic and fresh snow

Yes Klumpy, it is normally closed to traffic which do not have the code from what I hear.
Thx GoViking, that's good to know
The old hurry up and wait.
Had the fan situation for awhile. Turned out the high pressure sensor on the ac lines were bad.
mine was the hub, but yes that can happen too, and air leaks to the hub as well
cmon folks if ya watch it give a thumbs up....
Sounds a bit like manifold gasket to me, hope it’s not, bigger job.
it was the manifold
Great video! thats a long ass drive to get to the middle of nowhere you can see on camera how rough it is.

Yeah I got a decent tool set. I’ve tried fixing a ton of stuff. A new rattle comes along soon after. No mufflers there’s always something rattling
