    With the pre-amp gain at max, it is harder to clean up the sound with just the volume on the guitar.
    It's not just the sensitivity (diodes) that dictate the overall distortion.
    A good starting point, when fine-tuning this amp, is by putting a patchcord in the send/return of the FX-loop and play with the sensitivity dial. There is a sweetspot where you get a nicely balanced range of frequencies (instead of a can of bees).
    These loops send a signal from just the pre amp to the power amp, and parallel (when something is plugged in (even a cable)) it sends the same signal + the FX's sound to the power amp at the same time.
    Finding the right balance is key to that.

    today we arnt going to be turning up the sensitivity. now let's turn up the sensitivity to 14! lol I have the head of this amp MKIII 2500. it loves boosters, tubescreamer, overdrive, what ever, it turns it into a thrash metal beast.

    Gran y muy útil demostración, si señor. Contemplando cambiar mi Laney Ironheart por uno de estos en formato cabezal.

    ... (almost) all I needed to hear :) Hopefully this one doesn't do the high frequency piercing ears type? (I normally can't tell from videos at YT, but in real life it hurts on some JCM900 and later modells ... and no way to get rid of it just turnig the knobs ... without hardware modding ...) I am looking forward testing one next week ...

    is this a 2502 2x12? If so what speaker are in there? Is it the G12-75? It sounds great. I found one i thinking of buying if it has the same speakers you have?

      Hey, sorry about the late reply. Yes, the speakers in that amp are the T-75. To me this is the last good marshall of the old days, basically an 800 with more gain available. You won't regret to get it, and the 2 master volumes are just perfect for solos. Hope to help, let me know if you got it in the end. Cheers!

      I see your playing it on the 25 watt mode, does that change the tone of the amp? And it's still very loud though?

    • @dominbuleto
      @dominbuleto  Před 5 lety

      @@guitarexpert2245 Really loud, louder than I ever needed. There's a bit of a difference though, but not too much, a bit more compressed in 25 watts mode. I like better that it can be cranked up higher

      @@dominbuleto Hello again. Do you mind me asking if the amp is really heavy to carry. I never bought that one is was in bad shape a guitar store has one in really good shape except it's online so i can't test it. Its it heavy to carry around. Thanks again.

      @@guitarexpert2245 I'd say it's over 25 kgs, but less than 30. It's heavy, but not too much considering it's a 2x12'' IMO. If you need to carry instruments, a pedal board, amp... on your own and often I'd try something lighter, but that's just me, you know. Your welcome mate, and happy new year!!
