1. We got the idea from Jon Cozart, there is no hiding that. We gave credit and he has watched and commented so PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT ABOUT COPYING PAINT.
2. We get it, our singing is not exactly top-notch. We are very amateur vocalists and videomakers so please, instead of hating on our voices, just give us some credit for putting this together.
3. I am aware that I look like Selena Gomez, but there is no need to add in "the fat version" Like, that hurts my feelings and does nothing for you.
4. Please give it a thumbs up, even if you didn't enjoy it all that much. It's really really really helpful and it would give me motivation to create even better videos.

She didn’t steal it that would’ve been copying EVERY SINGLE DETAIL, she put her own spin on it by using villains, not heroes, so it’s a different idea. Inspiration doesn’t mean lack of creativity.
I like Gaston's explanation best.....Wish they had put more of their sides in the movies.....They would do just as well as antiheroes.....
Makes me think of the story they scrapped for Ursula where she and Tritan were siblings and she got banished just because he didn't like her...
Aruna Dayananda in all honesty, I wish they would do stories for these villains like they did for Maleficent! Gaston would be interesting if it were this interpretation...

I really liked this! Sure it wasn't extremely professional and it wasn't Paint. But this had to be so much effort and the idea is great. The lyrics were cool and one could really see that you had fun making this!

Claire Dolan ~ haha don't say "apparently" like you don't know. Their are musicians out there who work their butts off to be good and expecting that you can just sing a song and it sound good is kind of an insult to them. So just accept you have a lot of work to do.

I would like to comment on Ursula's backstory. Yes she did have a sister, Morgana but as stated in The Little Mermaid 2 Ursula was the favorite in the family and the eldest and Morgana wanted to be like her. Gothel's backstory seems to fit more for Ursula. For gothel I think a backstory that would fit is that her mother always pampers her making her a vain, narcissistic, spoiled brat obsessed with her looks but then when she noticed a white hair or wrinkles she freaked out because if she gets old she won't be considered beautiful. The Gaston's backstory is on point! Facilier's story was also good though I wish you would've added something about racial discrimination to give it a little more depth

This was a really creative idea. I enjoyed the video even though you're not that great singers. You deserve a thumbs up for the effort!
EDIT: Guys, I know this was inspired by Jon Cozart, but they took the inspiration and made something new. A lot of art and creative stuff is made this way. I just wanted to give the girls a compliment, because aside from the singing they actually did a decent job.

The idea was really good, the lyrics are really even good, but you guys are pushing your voices too low. Bring it up a little and you won't have to strain as much as y'all did on some of the really low notes. I can tell both of you are good singers, but you have to set a the lyrics at a reachable level. ❤️
Not the worst singing I've ever heard, just put a bit more emotion into it and it could be better. In reality you have to appreciate the amount of effort in this, the lyrics, the stories, the choreography, the timing might be a bit off but it's not awful. Seriously this might be one of the better one off fan videos.

This was actually really creative. And I like the idea of taking someone else's work and making it your own. Because lets be honest rarely anything is original these days we just put a spin and our own flair on the ideas of others. Being amateur or professional doesn't account to skill; it depends on whether or not they're making money off of it. Usain Bolt is an amateur because he doesn't get paid to take part in the Olympics; he got sponsored by Virgin and other companies to earn money. Cristiano Ronaldo, however, is a professional.
You can't be in between professional (get paid for what you do)and amateur (Don't get paid for what you do)...

***** I really like your video as well, but I have two things that kinda bug me.
1. You guys didn't put much expression into your voices... It sounded like you didn't want to be there (I sing in a choir so I see it a lot) This is fine because there is always something to work on.
2. There are a few other videos that you probably should've given credit to because they did the same thing before you did. No, it wasn't just Jon that did something like this... There is a theater group that posts it's musicals on CZcams and on November 27th of 2013, they posted a Disney/Wicked musical of Jafar's side the story called Twisted where in one of their songs they had the Villains explaining themselves and their actions. I suggest you check it out, it's really good along with their other musicals. Their CZcams channel is called Team Starkid.
There is also a channel called AVbyte where they made a musical number involving the villains and them lamenting
I understand that you probably didn't know these existed, but please give them credit.
I didn't come here to spread hate so think of this as constructive critisism.

I loved this, girls! Great ideas to fill in the blanks of their backgrounds! I especially liked Facilier . which is amazing because I didn't like him in the movie. But the thought that he means it when he says he's got 'friends' on the other side, neat thought!

This song was amazing. I don't have any singing experience whatsoever, so you are AMAZING compared to me. Your voices didn't crack at all (like mine probably would), and the lyrics are amazing, I would not have come up with that in my lifetime! Now, I have to educate the world about my favourite movie ever. Ursula actually had a younger sister who was appreciated a lot less by their mother. Her name was Morgana and is the villain of The Little Mermaid II: Return to See, and everyone should go watch it. No one I've talk to has heard of it, but it's the movie I still to this day love more than anything!
