- "Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much. Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which make a quadrans. So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood.”

Woe to those who devour widows
Thank you sir you explained it so well ❤
This passage is a good one to read during the Season of Pentecost.
👍👍so powerful message
This is absolutely not what this story means.
your input was incurably valuable
@@raygrenade1697 It's about how corrupt the religious system in Judea was. Where the woman gave all she had to the Temple, and basically walked away with nothing. Jesus was not making a point that we should give all our money away, is he? No, he's highlighting how the greedy corrupt religious leaders sap money from even the least wealthy of the population.
This is not a sermon about "giving based on your means"
