high there i have several questions regarding tuning sub woofer, i was just looking few sub woofer modeling in some simulator and i found quite interesting results,as i have very little practical experience with Enclosure design would you like to consider to look through some of frequency responses i got ?

Bass is live i have a active sony sub that produces some pretty mean bass never tried annything to special but it shure makes things rattle in my house

Oh God... that sub box needs some love..., mystonerm, do you know what i would do it?, in case of make a mod to narrow a secction of the port or bass trap, line, (whatever name do you want to put on it) i just take measurements and built a port from a couple of 1/2" (or some less) sheets (wide) and the sides, glue it very well add some 1/16" headless nails, then route the front and back of "the tunning tunnel" for better and nice air flow, ...sand it nicely, really. then draw on it a scale in mm, or 1/16" then you can measure later the lenght... and later put inside the port, i just sand it very nicely, to fit very gently in that box port... the idea here, is that you can tune the frecuency as you wish or need, like a note is played by a tromboune...
that is my humble idea... and give some love to that box!... greetings!

Hey I tried to explain to my dad how smaller port drops the tunning but he said that smaller port creates higher pressure and creates a higher tuning but thought it was all about the port length,Can you give a logical explanation on why smaller ports drop the tunning?
yeah he's right, smaller = higher tuning. Longer = lower tuning.
I'm bad at explaining things but it's just basic physics.
Blow into a small coke bottle and then blow into a larger bottle.. i'm sure you've tried this before, well the same sort of applies to port sizes.

bigger isn't lower, longer is lower :)
What I did was reduce the size and in doing so increased length.

I dont know why but my dad made a subwoofer for his car using a 12" dd subwoofer and the box is way smaller than yours and goes dow 22hz,maybe 18hz
+CØXMINØX 2020 it'll reach them but it won't be very loud at those frequencies compared to say 30hz
+CØXMINØX 2020 all woofers go low. u wont hear it as much with small box. simple .

Aslo Reaper and CØXMINØX 2020, the cabin of a car is a fraction of the size of a room in a house which allows lower frequencies of a box to be heard a lot easier.
There's pros and cons to box sizes too, but if it suits your needs, non of this talk really matters dude 😃

Typical audio guy- mixed screws box for multiple uses and never happy with sound, it can always be better depending on what you want. I’ve done this many times. I use old speaker baffles for templates:)

I have a question that falls nicely into your vid. I have two dark audio industry nko 12 s, I have a box that is 4.18 cft ( its for one large 15) . I want to try a shared chamber enclosure , I know the bad things that can happen , it is slot ported .
My ? Is how do I math the port to what I need?
