    Hello, awesome demo that I really need atm. My q is if I'm going to varnish with gloss, should I use gloss medium over the masking tape or stick with Matt. Thanks, eagerly waiting your reply.

    Hard Edge Painting evolved in California in the late 1950's not the late 60's! :-). Perhaps in response to Abstract Expressionism.

    What is the ratio of paint/medium/water to get this consistency? Thank you

    Also what is the reason to fully cover the basecoat yellow? Shouldn't just a slight bleed of yellow be enough? Assuming paint is fully opaque?

    Does the matte medium need to dry before applying the second color? Or should you do it while still wet?

    • @winsornewton
      @winsornewton  Před 6 lety +5

      Hello Mike, many thanks for your comment. Yes, do let the Matte Medium dry first to prevent bleeding.
      Kindest regards,

    how do you do this with oil paint?

    • @AudiobookLibrary24-7
      @AudiobookLibrary24-7 Před 5 lety +2

      Add a little linseed oil to the paint to create more flow and less clumpiness or thickness.

    Winston & Newton can you please define what single and double cream mean? I googled Acrylic painting and single double cream with no results to your definition. It seems you add water to achieve this result. Is there a recipe that I can follow to achieve the same results?

      This probably just refers to the consistency of the paint. i.e. like dairy cream or heavy cream.

    But how to do this on a curve?? ;)

    • @suneast8997
      @suneast8997 Před 4 lety +1

      Maybe a bendable tape like what they use for taping cars before painting. Slightly elastic

    Be easier to paint the edge yellow instead of the Matt medium.
