I'm not at all a fan of these super loud screaming engines but I love the Huayra R so much. Fantastic car

I was there today. I've not been for 7 years. I'm glad the weather held out! The 2012 McLaren F1 car got a lot of love today!

@@808.sfx_ I like Fridays. The weekend is so busy. It's easy to get tickets. I paid £128 for admission which includes a grandstand pass which gives you covered seating access for all grandstands. You also get an earpiece with commentary. Definitely try and go. It's full of utter petrolheads and you'll have great conversations with strangers all day. I arrive about 8am with relatively low traffic and I live 2 hours away from Goodwood.

Im so happy i lived during the golden age of gas engines. The sounds and the mechanical pieces of art are just fenomenal. Imagine in 100 years: ”wow that 100hz engine sounds amazing!” inline 5(audi and volvo), inline 6(rb,2j), v6(alfa), v8(ferrari, dodge), v10(lambo,audi) and v12s(ferrari and lambo) 😚😚😚😚

Funny you say that because as i watched there was a bit of disappointment when an EV whirs by. It doesn't have the same soul as combustion engines do with the diff pitches, tambre and growls all based engine layout with diff angle Vs, inlines the cylinder count and cranks. I appreciate the engineering of EVs but will miss the glorious sounds of an ICE.

ikr, it does 0-60 in 1.5 seconds and holds the goodwood fos fastest timed run up the hill, saw it live and its blindingly fast its insane. On the runs it did they put a camera inside the car to display the face of the driver and he looks like he's shitting it the whole way up its that fast 😂😂

@@TheBorderHoppr McMurty Speirling, the noise is a pair of turbofans that can generate 2 tonnes of downforce even while it's stationary. It did a 1/4 mile in 7.97 seconds!

Andy wallace basically went through corner in a chiron super sport without even braking that really shows the training the experience and strength of the car just fantastic.
Travis and that Goofy active aero kit is just amazing, love the creativity.
Putting the GMA right after the F1 GTRs was proper way of doing stuff. Considering all built by the same guy :) The way Goodwood is tributing the best cars on the planet is absolutely wholesome.

The Valkyrie isn't a road engine either, it's an F1/LMP based engine that's been adapted for the road.
@@F1ll1nTh3Blanks it's road engine don't make up stuff, it's made from ground up to be in Valkyrie they even made 3 cyllinders intially during development to test it, it contains some parts resembles from F1 or uses F1 tech but that doesn't make it based on F1 like AMG One which uses actual F1 engine converted for road car
@@TRX25EX No it flat out isn't, so what if it was developed from the ground up, it's still built with full racing components, you can literally lift the engine and without modification put it into a race car and it will perform like one.
It was built for the track and then modified to be compliant. It's mated to a racing gearbox and it needs a hybrid motor strapped to it to help make it compliant. The engine won't idle at low rpm like a road car for long periods so the hybrid motors literally power the car for most of the time it's spent running at low speeds. So what about this is a road engine again. I don't know many road engines that need to be rebuilt every 100k do you?

0:20 I didn't know such an old car like that had active aero. Oh, I know the consumer VW Corrado had active suspensions in like 1994. It would lower when you went faster than a certain speed for aerodynamics.

Pagani Huayra R* and Valkyrie sounded well clear of any V12 Ferrari out there, even better than the La Ferrari FXX K Evo.
The pagani, the valkyrie, the p1, the Lambos, 911, the viper, the jesko. Plenty of cars there that have proper sounds. In fact, I feel like ferrari now a days is getting toned down in terms of sound which is sad
