Unboxing my SECOND Evolve Artist supply box!

- Thought I'd pop in with a fun little video going through all the art supplies for blocks 3 and 4 of Evolve Artist. Fun fact, it would cost over $230 to get just the paints in this box (!!!). It feels bad throwing away even a drop of it, but all in the name of education I suppose... Check back soon for me actually using the paints and getting into color!

I've been using the exact same soap containers since I started painting with Evolve. I can split one bar of soap between two containers. Even though I like that brand of brush soap resuing the container with the Ivory soap is way cheaper.
Yep! This is so much more economical it's crazy. I'm now on the second half of my first bar of Ivory soap which cost $5 for a pack of 10! While the Master's soap is $10 a puck! I'm glad Kevin's got our back with these low cost suggestions.

I'm so glad you did this unboxing. I suddenly had the biggest fear they would send cadmiums. Phew. lol I got my first box yesterday and lost internet almost immediately. Today I finished watching the Block 1 videos and tomorrow I will paint boxes. Lots and lots of boxes. lol
Glad to help! Why are you scared of cadmium paints?
@@Mithrilda It's not that I'm scared despite my wording, I'm just trying to avoid non earth friendly pigments (and human, cat, dog, etc friendly), so no cadmiums, no cobalts, etc. It's unfortunate because cadmiums and cobalts make wonderful colors. Luckily various paint companies have been hard at work finding environmentally friendly substitutes. I forgot to check to see what pigments they were using before I signed up.
I see, that makes sense. I've been thinking about that as well. Art is certainly a large part of my carbon/environmental footprint and I feel like it's one point in favor digital

I just finished Block One. Are you TOLD when to request the new box set. Do you yourself have to ask for the box to be sent or is it send automatically. ? Thanks for this video.

Your videos are great! I'm thinking about signing up for Evolve. You recently talked about going to a traditional art school. Have you felt like you're missing out on anything art-related in the program, or is it more about having a school environment to learn in with teachers and peer students?
Thank you! I don't think I'm missing out per se, I'd just like to really dedicate myself to art full time for it a bit and just have some fun and I want to go to a school where I know I'm in good hands and will make good use of this time. In fact, I'm looking to study with Kevin, who teaches the Evolve program, at his physical studio and continue using his technique. I'm also looking for immediate feedback and people go ask questions to, peers to hang out with and be inspired by, and an environment that values art. So basically, I'm looking for the sequel to go beyond Evolve after I'm done with it. I feel like it's a great program so far for the fundamentals, but after I learn them, I want to also be able to find my artistic voice and business skills and I think going to study somewhere will help me with that.

this is honestly always great to watch. why are there dislikes though, I dont get people. Its just a video about art supplies, I always wonder what people expect, a video about seals and penguins?
I hope to see more about your decision to go to art school and what you decide, I am doing more self study and currently learning to draw arms. I am halfway done with draw a box, but I am keeping my options open. Most likely will do online singular art classes though, from skillshare and maybe prozd.
What kind of art goals do you have? I'm definitely leaning toward studying art full time for a while at the moment. I'll definitely talk more about it as I make my decisions!

This box is included with the Evolve Artist foundation program tuition

The second box is included in the price of the program (Foundation blocks 1-4)
It should never take that many brushes to paint a painting!

The supply box comes with the cost of the course so it's all included in the $2000

Yes, you get one box for blocks 1 and 2 and another box for blocks 3 and 4. You get a link to order your next box halfway through block 2. This is all included in the course fee.
Free is not, you pay for this, it's included in the price.
