I've been a Fan Since 1977 Farewell To Kings Album & Started Seeing Them Live on the Permanent Waves Tour 1980 & Right Into 1981, Moving Pictures Tour (On My Opinion, Their Best Record) Signals 1982, 7 Times Total. I got Blown Away Everytime I saw them Live, I Mean, These 3 Dudes Doing All This Awwwwseme Music. R. I.P. NEIL 🎶💙🩵🙌👏✌️
God Bless you for doing this one, you made my day! This tour was actually my first concert ever back in March of 1981. I first started listening to them back in 1978. Saw them 11 more times after that. My favorite band ever. True story: (“I have no heart to lie.”) my friend that I told you about who is a professional musician met Neil Peart on 3 different occasions (through a mutual friend) and even went to his house twice. (I was absolutely blown away when he told me this!) He even played on a set Neil had there in his home. I asked my friend what Neil’s reaction was to his drumming. His response was, “well he didn’t say I sucked so I guess that’s a good thing.”😂 I’ve known this guy since 1981 and to this day he still cracks me up! Anyway, just a little tidbit. Btw, I’m still waiting on your cover of “Stargazer”…be well.

Being a huge Rush and Neil Peart fan I am jealous of how many times you saw them live as I never got the opportunity to. And what a great story about your friend! I love hearing about how the people you look up to and admire (Neil Peart) turn out to be so genuine. Finally, I did check out “Stargazer” and really like the song and will get to it for sure. However, I am getting ready to head to Nashville with my band to record our first EP so it might take me a bit to get to it so hang in there. Cheers!

Coincidentally, my friend is heading to Nashville later this month to record some tracks for the Discovery Channel, maybe you’ll run into him, who knows? I send him your videos all the time, so he knows who you guys are. Congratulations on recording your first EP, I’m very proud of you! I knew I saw something in you! Yes, I cherish all of the times that I saw Rush live, I’m just sad that I never will again. Twice I got to see them up close, within 15 feet of the stage. Seeing a Neil Peart drum solo that close is SURREAL, to say the least. I highly recommend his book, “Ghost Rider.” He really opened up about himself (which he never did in person), his life, and his tragic situation. Great read and very enlightening. Best of luck to you and your band in Nashville. I know you guys will do great and I look forward to seeing what happens next! Keep on rockin’, Sara! 👍🤘
