    Nice video! Thanks for the info. me and my friend are planning on visiting hanoi for a week, and then we are flying to kuala lumpur and our plane to sfo stops in ho chi min and sadly the airline had to reschedle the flight and we need to stay in ho chi min for a week. when applying to the visa it only allows one entry aiport and one exit aiport. should i do two single entry visas? one from hanoi and the other one for ho chi min? thanks

      Hi Silvia! Thanks for your question. In this case I'd say that you can apply for a multiple entry visa. Once you've entered Vietnam ( in your case Hanoi ) your multiple entry visa is activated from this moment, hence you should be able to enter at any point after the visa is activated. Hope it makes sense. I'm pretty sure this is how it is but with Vietnam, you can never be sure. Wish you a great trip

    If stopping at three ports in a row in Vietnam on a cruise do you need a single or multiple entry and what do you put on the application as entry port? First port is Phu My.

    • @perpetuallyabroad
      @perpetuallyabroad  Před 11 měsíci

      Hi James thanks for your question. If I understand correctly, you're just entering Vietnam once? And then continue on a cruise along the coast of Vietnam? You need a multiple entry visa if you're exiting Vietnam and then plan to enter again. Not sure what kind of cruise this is

    This video is great!
    My friend got her 30 day single entry visa approved but we are actually not leaving until 37 days. Do you suggest that I apply for a multiple entry visa for a 37 day stay, I really want to avoid an overstay, fine or blacklist. :) Thank you so much!

    • @perpetuallyabroad
      @perpetuallyabroad  Před 8 měsíci

      Happy you liked it! To my understanding you have two choices basically. 1. Apply for a new multiple entry visa and use that instead of the single entry. 2. Depending on your nationality, leave before 30 days then re-enter from eg Cambodia and stay the extra days on a visa exemption. Noted, this only works if your country has a visa exemption treaty with Vietnam like most European countries etc. Good luck and I hope you'll have a great trip

    • @perpetuallyabroad
      @perpetuallyabroad  Před 23 dny

      I heard nowadays you might not need the exact point of entry but this will be clear if you apply for the visa online

    What if I have two different entry points for a multiple-entry Visa? Looks like the application only allows one entry and exit point each. We're flying into HCM, out from Hanoi into Cambodia, and traveling back by land into Vietnam.

    • @perpetuallyabroad
      @perpetuallyabroad  Před 10 měsíci

      Thanks for your question. Without being 100 sure of this, I'd say that only the entry point of the first entry matters. That entry is what activates your visa. After that the entry point should not matter.
      Also regarding the exit point, from what I've heard it doesn't matter but don't take my word for it.

    What if you re-enter and have two different exit ports?

    • @perpetuallyabroad
      @perpetuallyabroad  Před 8 měsíci

      From my understanding once you activate your multiple entry visa ( entering Vietnam ) , it doesn't matter where your next entry/exit point is

    You don't mention whether we need a one way ticket or a two way ticket with a 90 day evisa to vietnam 🤔 Anyway, visa runs will be done, so do we need to schedule the return ticket from vietnam 90 days later????

    • @perpetuallyabroad
      @perpetuallyabroad  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Well officially you need both a return ticket and a travel insurance for any country basically but the question is if they care about it in reality. If you're already granted a 90-day multiple entry visa I highly doubt they would demand a return ticket. If you're a normal tourist with the intention to travel in Vietnam there's no need to worry I'd say.
